This one is a variation of the A-Ranked Water Encampment Wall. This one is a very widespread jutsu too. Was used by Mei to defend against Madara's Great Fire Destruction. You knead chakra in your body and convert it into the Water nature, and then channel it to your gullet, expelling out a massive, dense and curved torrent of water from your mouth. Unlike other Water techniques, this one has more density and force to it, meaning the water is heavier. Although, unlike the A-Ranked one, this hinders your vision like other streaming techniques. It can be used to intercept widespread Fire and Wind techniques, and has no so offensive uses, as the type is stated as 'Defensive', albeit you can still use it to obviously push back your opponents or flood a massive area in mere seconds.

This one can only be used if you have a primary water specialty. One of the most versatile Water techniques in the canon list, consider it a S-Ranked version of the Suiton No Jutsu, with some variations. After you weave two handseals, you focus a massive amount of your Water chakra towards the atmosphere, and materialize forth a large amount of water out of nothingness. It's upto to you to shape it any way you want, be as creative as you can with this. You can also encase summonings within the water, which would be useful for water based summonings in an area where there is no water, however you need to focus chakra constantly to maintain the shape of the water, thus it's better off used with a clone. Until you make use of the water, meaning shaping it any way, using it offensively, defensively or w/e. As long as you sustain the Tiger handsign, and keep on fueling chakra, you can use it it any way you want, i.e. suppose you form a dragon, midway, you can change it's shape to whatever you like. You can also the technique by inserting your Water chakra into low ranked water sources provided they contain ample enough water. As you need high chakra control, this is considered a very high level elemental ninjutsu, thus the primary specialty requirement. It leeches off 10 chakra points each turn you sustain the technique.

Much like the A ranked version, the user gather water chakra within their throat and then exhale a powerful stream of water, which is slightly different than other water techs. In this specific difference, it's that the water is heavier than normal water, which helps repeal something powerful. This tech is very widespread, and can block other widespread fire/wind techs too. Since a lot of water is being expelled it can flood an area real quickly.

Basically the user has to be a water specialist in order to perform this jutsu. The user focus their chakra after performing to hand seals and releases a giant amount of water chakra within the atmosphere and make water out of nothing essentially. As long as the user holds the Tiger handseal, they can maintain the jutsu, but constantly saps chakra while maintaining it. They're able to make whatever they like, so being creative is a must with this. This is probably one of the strongest canon water techs available.

Method 3: Water Manipulation

Alright, so we've covered techniques that come from one's own body, creating projectiles, streams and even our own water sources. Now we're onto techniques that require the usage of an existing source of water. This method focuses on using water from a water source and manipulating it to form the techniques we want. When going about using these techniques, you expel the chakra from your body into the water source as opposed to the previous methods where you'd manifest the chakra itself into water. There are a few exceptions I believe, within this method, however most of these techniques require a water source in order for you to use them. Now, the properties of these techniques vary. There may be projectile type techniques or continuous techniques that require you to constantly focus chakra in order to use. In essence, these techniques may exhibit qualities of water techniques in previous methods but the unique thing about this method would be that you'd need a water source for these.

Advantages: The advantage that comes from using water sources if that you don't have to constantly input chakra in order to maintain a specific jutsu, with of course some exception to different techs. It's also a nice way to avoid being electrocuted since the water is most cases isn't attached to you like it was with streams and coming off your body. It's also nice since if it's all around you and your opponent, you can possibly surprise them since they have to pay attention to the area around them or they could be struck down by whatever water tech you decided to do.

Disadvantages: The only problem I can see is that it requires your focus on using shape manipulation on the water source at hand it order to perform whatever jutsu you'd be doing and that can take time, depending on what's going on. It's also semi not reliable because you're using a source that's out on the battle field and if your opponent is skilled enough, they could do something to get rid of the water source at hand, hindering your tech or possibly even use that water against you and hit you with something like a lightning tech.

Description: This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water by waving the Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Hands spread in front palms out. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water.

Description: The user will clap his hands and slam them on the ground, streaming an incredibly rapid stream of water through it, creating a large pool of water beneath the opponent to form, that gushes upwards in a burst, lifting the opponent high into the air. The user does the Bird → Dog → Snake → Rat hand seals after his opponent is mid air, using the water pool to shoot up to 8 small water bullets, designed to further raise the opponent into the air, disorient him and damage him. The water bullets gather above the opponent after hitting and passing through his position and form into a water dragon which then attacks the target, grabbing it in its jaws and forcefully bringing it crashing into the ground. The dragon comes down from above the target, bites the target and coils down, towards the ground, crushing the target between the ground and the now incredible mass of falling water. Tobirama Senju does this technique with his own specific hand seals, similar to how he does some other water techniques. Despite long and seemingly complex, the technique is quite fast to perform and trigger.

It will then shoot a gigantic torrent of water that extends water over a large scale, surges upon impact and rises up to several dozen meters high only to collapse down, forming massive waves all around as it does. The effect is such that as its collapsing it resembles a waterfall, hence the name of the technique. In doing so, it resembles a huge wave, with tremendous power that can hollow out the ground. What remains after that technique's utilization is reminiscent of no less than the aftermath of a natural disaster. This is a considerably advanced ninjutsu, and activating this technique requires a fair amount of chakra. The normal use of the technique requires a water source which is manipulated into the technique but some users have shown the ability to use the technique as a water stream exhaled from the mouth and forming more of a gigantic barrage/stream/wave of water rather than the more intricate and complex use of the main application of the technique.
Note: Can be used with a water source or by using one's own chakra to exhale the technique without the need for a water source nearby.

One of the big reasons that I'm missing some techs and you have some are because I left out some of the required things needed to perform it since I personally couldn't, such as Kisame techs and things like that.

Also I seem to have a lot more techs than you do, and for the most part I have some of the one's you do but my extra one's I have, I realize that it doesn't necessarily require me to shape my chakra in order to create it but it just happens since it's the nature of that jutsu to become whatever it is.

I also have a lot of things that are very animalish to say. Such as I have moves that turn into dragons, tornados, bullets, etc.

Some of the ones you listed don't require a water source to perform. Simple as that. Nothing related to the shapes of the jutsus. Also, some of them fall in the second and fourth method, so yeah.

A very basic and versatile technique. After weaving the Tiger handseal, you gather your Water chakra and insert into a nearby water source. You visualize an image of yourself, and use your chakra to give the water the shape and form of yourself through shape manipulation. The basic principle is chakra division. You have to only put 1/10th of your chakra. If you put in too much chakra, the clone loses it's form and shape, and if you put too less, it'll look like a joke. :| It can only be formed and travels only upto short range. These clones can only water techs upto C-Rank and are very easily prone to attacks, however they simply turn into water when attacked.

This was used by Itachi against Kakashi. After inserting your Water chakra into a water source, you highly compress the water and use shape manipulation to give the water a certain solid form, and add spinning motion to your chakra. The spinning motion, which makes it look a drill, and the solid form cause concentrated damage as well as physical impact, dealing blunt as well as concentrated damage together. If your opponent and you are on a water source, you can virtually make the water rise up from anywhere and attack him, and since it doesn't require handseals, it's quite fast to perform. A good way of distraction too. It can potentially kill the opponent, if used in the right way.

This tech requires you to do one hand seal, which is the Tiger seal. Doing this and gathering your water chakra as well as being near a water source, you can create a water clone of yourself. Doing this you'd have to think of an exact image of yourself and place the perfect amount of chakra within it to sustain while also performing shape manipulation to get the form correct. If you put too much, it won't come out right and too little and it'll look like a mess. A water clone has 1/10 of the original owners chakra, meaning it can't do much and it can't go far within turning back into water. Clones can use techs up to C rank moves and also requires a water source around them.

A tech that doesn't require an hand seals, making it a super fast tech to be perform. The user places his water chakra within the water (requires a water source) and by applying shape manipulation to it, you give it a spinning motion making the water into a drill making it come from basically anywhere when at a water source. Since the spinning motion of the water acts like a drill, it does physical damage to whoever is getting it by it.

It does some physical damage, and has enough force to push a person away with force, but aside that, it's a waste of chakra. You can manipulate the angle of the spiral in any way you want.

I like this one. When you and your opponent are on a water source, you insert your Suiton chakra into the water source, and give it rotation, forming a powerful whirlpool of water, that can suck any opponent within it's range. Best performed on a large water source which is very deep, as it can potentially drown an opponent. But then, your opponent may fool you and be sucked inside the water, while using one of the above technique to propel themselves to safety.

First off, you have to be on a water source to apply this move and if you want it to really be effective it should be a big water source. The user gathers their chakra and concentrates it into the water where they also had rotation in the mix. This allows the water underneath the opponent to turn into a whirlpool that would drag the opponent down into the water, potentially drowning them.

The most famous Suiton jutsu in the manga. After performing a long set of handseals, you send your Suiton chakra into an adequate water source and shape it into a large dragon of water, having a certain physical mass. The dragon can deal huge physical damage, turning into water again once it bursts. You can also ride the water dragon, helping you to evade attacks or rise from any obstacle or so. If you have a primary water specialty, you can make a S-Rank dragon, with a single handseal, though you still need a source of water. If you have a secondary, you can make a A-Rank dragon and if Water isn't your primary or secondary specialty, you can only make a B-Rank dragon.

My favorite Suiton jutsu. Again, it requires a long set of handseals. After performing them, you'll send your Suiton chakra into a suitable water source, and manipulate it to form a large ring in front of you. The ring will then shoot a large torrent of water, which will rise high into the sky, and crash down in the form of massive waves, which resemble a waterfall. These massive waves can uproot entire trees upon impact and create a mini-flood. In the manga and the anime, Kakashi used it to drown Zabuza momentarily, as well as uproot several trees and carve the ground itself. You can also expel it from your mouth in the form a huge torrent of water, which would fall into method 2.

The sharks rush onto your opponent and upon impact can break his bones, while lifting him into the air, leaving him vulnerable for attacks. Requires no handseals, so it's pretty fast.

Your make the water under your opponent explode by sending your chakra into it, and compressing it to a large extent, and then let the compressed chakra set free suddenly, thereby causing the water to explode which pushes your opponent into the air and deals some damage due to the jerk-force. You then jump above your opponent, and send chakra into your dominant hand, forming a large whirpool like structure around it, as an extension, and you'll strike him with it, creating another explosion, which blows him backward, causing him to crash and lose balance in the air.

Another favorite of mine. After 3 handseals, you send your chakra into the water around your opponent, and give it rotation to form a vortex of water. As mentioned in the technique, the vortex spins so hard that it knock your opponent unconscious due to it's striking force. And, according to the description, you can form it around yourself and adjust the spinning speed, forming a barrier of sorts, although you lose your view of your opponent. If used very closely around your opponent, he can be struck by it and lose consciousness.

Needing to be around a water source the user would concentrate their water chakra in said water source and would need to make a long series of hand seals which would be B-Ranked if water isn't their specialty. If it's your secondary specality then you can make the seals faster and make it a A-Ranked and if it's your primary an S-Ranked with one hand seal. This jutsu has a lot of water to it making it have a lot of mass which would do physical damage if landed. It's big enough that the user could ride on the dragon to evade things or just get higher ground if needed.

This also requires a water source to use. The user would gather chakra underneath their opponent by compressing it and then releasing it causing an explosion that would go off under the opponent sending them up flying in the sky. As they're in the air, you would jump up and gather chakra in your dominant hand and using shape manipulation would create a whirlpool in your hand. Using that you would collide with the airborne enemy and the impact would cause another explosion that would send them crashing back down. This would make the enemy lose whatever balance they had.

Now, this beast can expel wide and powerful streams of water, equivalent to a B-Rank water technique. Let's say, something like Exploding Colliding Water Wave. Additionally, it can clear entire areas with just a swipe of it's claws, causing a water torrent to form, which washes away the area(s) of impact. The downside is that you need to continually fuel chakra to the beast to maintain it's shape, else it just scatters into a large amount of water.

A game jutsu. Injecting your chakra into a water source, you give it rotation, causing it to form a vortex. You do this by a simple swing of your arm. The speed of the vortex easily knocks out your enemy into the air, and you can dispel the technique with another gesture of your hand. Very simple, and requires no handseals, so it's pretty fast and excellent when used in combos.

Description: The user after performing the Dog → Horse → Monkey → Ram and by manipulating a pre-existing water source and transforms it into a giant wolf-like beast. The beast can launch powerful streams of water from its mouth equivilant to B rank, or sweep the area with its claws to let a powerful torrent of water to wash away the enemies.
Note: The Water Beast remains active for three turns


The user would gathering his suiton chakra after performing the four required hand signs. After performing said signs, they would place their now gathered chakra into a water source of sort and would create a creature, wolf-beast, made of water which has the power of B-Ranked suiton techs. It's strong enough that even with a swipe of his claws, it can damage entire area's while producing torrents of it's own. This particular move requires that you keep streaming your chakra into this beast or else it would just pop into water and scatter everywhere.

If the user isn't using Tobirama or Mei,they'd need a water source in order to perform. The user just swings their arm, creating a watery vortex around their opponent that would launch them into the air and possibly knock them out too. Just with another gesture of the arm, they can easily disable the move just as quickly as they started it in the first place. As mentioned before, it just requires harm movement, no hand seals are needed. A water source is needed unless you're using one of those characters mentioned above.

Method 4: Alternative Releases (Water/Oil/Syrup)

This method will be easy. Basically these are techniques that create a different substance than the water, however, they still fall within the category of Suiton release. They are liquids that possess different properties than ordinary water, for example: Oil and syrup. Oil is a flammable substance, one wouldn't use this to combat fire but rather fuel it, and with syrup you create a much stickier viscosity of liquid that doesn't necessarily flow as fast as water but it gives a more adhesive property to it.

This is a very unique version of Water Release. Most of them are spat from the mouth.
