The user does the Bird → Dog → Snake → Rat hand seals after his opponent is mid air, using the water pool to shoot up to 8 small water bullets, designed to further raise the opponent into the air, disorient him and damage him. The water bullets gather above the opponent after hitting and passing through his position and form into a water dragon which then attacks the target, grabbing it in its jaws and forcefully bringing it crashing into the ground. The dragon comes down from above the target, bites the target and coils down, towards the ground, crushing the target between the ground and the now incredible mass of falling water. Tobirama Senju does this technique with his own specific hand seals, similar to how he does some other water techniques. Despite long and seemingly complex, the technique is quite fast to perform and trigger.

What remains after that technique's utilization is reminiscent of no less than the aftermath of a natural disaster. This is a considerably advanced ninjutsu, and activating this technique requires a fair amount of chakra. A very simple jutsu. You gather Water chakra in your hands, and convert your chakra into water. Then you use shape manipulation on the created water, condensing and sharpening your chakra to materialize forth a sword which is completely made up of water. It can cut and stab like a normal blade but doesn't do much damage. To maintain the sword's shape and form, you keep on fueling chakra to the technique, and it can be used to deflect basic projectiles and small, low ranked fireballs. When it gets damaged, it reforms into water.

Another very basic technique. You gather your Water chakra in your body and channel it to your arm, releasing the chakra outwards, while converting it into water. You apply shape manipulation on the created water to shape it in the form of a 'shield' of sorts, that can defend you against basic projectile techniques and low ranked Taijutsu attacks like kicks or punches. Nothing really complex. Once more, you've gotta keep on fueling chakra to the shield to maintain it's form and shape. It reforms into water if hit by slightly high rank techniques. The shield is circular in shape and is slightly bigger than a short human in size.

A good jutsu that you can make without a water source. You use your chakra to mold into water chakra in your hands and this creates water. From there on, you use shape manipulation to be able to create it into a sword. The nice advantage you get of this jutsu is that it's a very useful tool to have (especially for taijutsu/kenjutsu users) because it's allows you to use water to create a sword to fight with. Doing this, it allows you to be able to deflect some projectiles and even small fire balls and even be able to cut things. However, the problem to this tech is that it isn't all that powerful and could easily be overlooked on its use and you have to be able to continually give chakra to it to keep its shape and form.

Once again, you gather chakra within your body and convert it into water chakra. You release that chakra from your arm and as you're doing that, you use shape manipulation to form it into a shield of some sort that can be the size of a human. You have to continually have to feed it chakra and if it's hit with something high tech, it devolves back into water. However, in its basic form it can defend up to low level taijutsu and basic projectiles which can be very useful in quick situations.

The size and power of the technique is dictated by the amount of chakra put into the technique, varying from C-rank to B-Rank.

Tobirama's jutsu. Multi-ranked. You clap your hands and focus your Water chakra into the atmosphere, slowly converting your chakra into Water while giving it a high amount of rotational force, which would eventually form into a spiralling vortex of water all around you, rising upto several meters in the sky. Then, using your chakra, and with a simple hand movement, you reshape the vortex to form it into a powerful and tall wave which would rush forward and drown your target and inflict some damage. This is a good defend and counter technique. You can defend from projectile techniques, as well as re-direct them, along with attacking the opponent with a wave. I would personally use this to form a source of water for other techniques. You need to keep feeding chakra to the technique to maintain the form and shape of the wave and the vortex. The vortex is also formed around you, so your vision is hindered.

(Suiton: Suirou No Jutsu) - Water Style: Water Prison

Description: This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water by waving the Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Hands spread in front palms out. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water.

This was used by Zabuza against Team 7, and by Kisame against Team 10. You extend your palms and weave a long set of handseals, gathering your Water chakra and focusing it in the atmosphere, forming water, and by shape manipulation you form a sphere of water, which holds the opponent inside. You also make the water dense through shape manipulation. This is near inescapable, considering the dense water would choke and drown the opponent in some time. The downside is that you need to keep one arm inside the sphere to keep fueling chakra to the water sphere. However, it's easily countered with ample Earth defenses which would push away the water from the body. An armor would work well, while the sphere is forming around you. You can also gather Water chakra in your lungs and exhale out the water needed for the sphere. Obviously enough, it can only be formed short range of you. You can use water clones or normal clones and make them keep their arm in the sphere, so that you can follow up with other attacks. As well as you can use the clone's own water to make the sphere. You can use it on yourself by adjusting the density level of the water and shield yourself against potential attacks.

What makes this tech good is it has varying levels to it. You can make it go from C rank to B rank depending on how much chakra you dump into this. It's also very nice because it's an easy way to great a water source and even has the potential to drown the enemy in water while deflecting projectiles and even returning them back at the enemy. It doesn't take too much time to create because you just clap your hands together and focus your chakra into the atmosphere and essentially use shape manipulation to get it into a vortex, then into a giant wave. A big problem I see however is that you have to keep applying chakra into, which isn't that bad but the fact you are hindering your own vision in order to do this is bad.

You focus your chakra into your hands and into the atmosphere and create water after doing the necessary hand seals for it. After creating the water, you use shape manipulation to make it into a sphere and make the water really dense in order to choke and hold down your opponent. What is good about this tech is that it's very good to keep your opponent trapped in order to keep them down and possibly choking them out. However, during all of this, you have to have your hand in the sphere feeding it chakra at all times in order to keep it active. This could take sometime trying to choke someone out and you continually feeding chakra trying to maintain this tech. It's also only for close range, and honestly isn't worth trying unless you get a clone to do it, standing idle and you (the original) could use another tech in conjunction to finish off the opponent. A nice little thing you could do however is you can create the sphere around yourself in order to protect yourself from incoming projectiles or attacks.

These both are essentially the same thing, but one is higher ranked. You weave one handseal, and then channel your Water chakra into the ground. You give your chakra speed and force, while shape manipulating it to make it as sharp as possible. The water that would be created thus would be so sharp that it would slice through the ground while it travels, and rip through solid rock formations. The C-Ranked tech, just requires you to stomp your foot on the ground, while for the B-Ranked one, you just channel chakra into the ground.

This tech is good because it can be performed rather quickly by letting the user be able to simply stomp the group and a jet stream of water will be flying at the opponent. It's a good decent rank as well so on top of the speed it has it does decent damage as well. This tech is also strong enough to cut through solid rock and the ground that is traveling across. The only problem I see from this particular tech is that I would rather be using the next tech instead since it's strong but slightly slower.

The difference for this one is that the user will make the tiger hand seal and focus their chakra into the group while using shape manipulation to make the stream/jet into a very sharp stream which will be cutting rocks basically. I personally like this one better because it's stronger than the other tech mentioned but its downside is that it's also slightly slower.

You apply shape manipulation, compressing the water, sharpening it somewhat. The wave covers a decent area and has the ability to carve the earth, if you use it twice. This alone shows how powerful it is. It causes a decent amount of damage if your opponent is hit by it, and has tremendous impact force, hitting him/her like a "bullet" of sorts, but spewed out of the mouth as a wave of water. As usual, you need to focus over your chakra to maintain the wave of water. You can even form a small water source with this.

They can create a body of water for a water summoning to be encased in and allow them to move around where normally no water exists, or create a body of water to block incoming attacks or surround his target and then drown them.

After weaving a long set of handseals, you gather your Water chakra, channeling it to the ground and take "control" of the water below the ground. Since, it's inserted with your chakra, you can manipulate the water as you like. You can as much as create a medium amount of water to encase a summoning inside it and make them move wherever they want. This is useful for purely water based summons, which need a body of water to survive and move. You can also form a body of water to block projectiles, fireballs, etc etc, or make it surround your opponent and manipulate in such a way that it traps them inside and drowns them. You control the body of water with hand motions, constantly fueling your chakra to it. Quite a unique and useful technique.

This tech is a pretty good, it allows the user to focus their chakra in their lungs and converts the raw chakra into water and spits it out of their mouth. The user has to continually put chakra into this tech in order to keep using it. It's also very useful since it's a powerful move. By attacking something twice, such as terrain, it could carve the earth like you mentioned above. The user is also able to create a body of water or in other words, a water source for other techs. This seems like a rather quick move and can be very useful when against a stream of fire of even someone using earth moves. The only downside is in order to keep using it, you'd have to fuel it with your chakra.

This tech is interesting to say the least. The user focuses their chakra into the ground, which enables them to control a body of water under the ground. The user is able to then manipulate the water how they seem fit with the motion of their hands and constantly fueling it with their chakra. This is good because it allows you to make a water source or a big body of water if you need to perform a water based summon and it's useful because it allows you to block projectiles and fireballs, depending on its rank. For the most part everything is good but the problem is that it requires a long series of hand seals to perform this tech and in battle that can make the difference.

As basic as it sounds. You gather Water chakra in any of your hand and then release it as a burst of water outwards, which travels as a jet. It doesn't require handseals and can be used to hinder Taijutsu users in short range, since it has a good amount of impact force. As long as you focus on your chakra, you can change the direction of the waves. The biggest drawback is that it's vulnerable to lightning attacks, which would essentially rush through the wave and hit the user, electrocuting him. A very easy technique and doesn't consume much chakra.

Yamato used this in the manga for Naruto's Rasenshuriken training. He also used this to demonstrate that how he had Water and Earth Releases. Lol, old times.

Anyway, after weaving 3 handseals, you gather up your Water chakra and release it outwards, materializing forth a large amount of spring water, in an area without water veins. Water veins are basically underground water running through the Earth, which is harmful in real life. After you form the spring water, you manipulate it to form a large wave of water. It can be used for training purposes, and also to conceal your location, by forming a large wave in the form of a wall, hindering your sight from the opponent. The wave doesn't do really any "damage" per se, but can be used to push away the opponent from you. As long as you focus on your chakra, it's upto to you to form as large as a wave as you want, but obviously within logic. This is a great technique for forming a decent water source, without spending too much chakra.

This tech seems really good actually. Aside from the fact you could get electrocuted by someone, it's rather difficult to actually pull off. The reason is because, the user would gather his chakra and since it has no hand seals, it could be practically instantly. So, just like you mentioned, someone is using taijutsu and they're getting real close, you use this and blast them very hard with this tech. On the off chance they manage to avoid it you can change its direction by focusing the users chakra to change the direction of the jet stream. The problem to this is that it's only short ranged, which is a shame but otherwise I see nothing wrong with it.

The advantage to this tech is that you can conceal yourself within this water fall and on top of that, creating a water source for not much chakra (which is always a plus). The user focuses their chakra and creates spring water that just falls down magically (lol) and essentially continues the process I imagine if the user continues to focus their chakra. The problem I see to this is, that aside from concealing and making a water source, it doesn't do any damage and the best thing you can expect from it during battle is that it pushes an enemy away from you.

Quite an easy jutsu and the most widely used escape maneuvers. You gather Water chakra in your body and channel it to the ground below you, and use your Water chakra to make the water below the ground rise up, and use shape manipulation to form it into a pillar of sorts. This forms very fast and instantly lifts you above any danger. The primary use of this technique is to make the pillar rise under the opponent and with this, you can interrupt the jutsus he's performing. You can divert his attacks(if they're stream based usually), and hinder his balance. You can follow up with such a jutsu that would crush him once he's lifted into the air. The pillar rises exactly at an angle of 90 degree, but it's upto you to change the angle at which the water pillar would rise.

The user would gather chakra and while focusing, makes it into water chakra. He then uses it either underneath himself or his opponent to rise them up, using shape manipulation to make it into a pillar. What makes this so good is that if you use it under yourself, you can dodge a lot of attacks because this move is so instantaneous. If this is used against your opponent, you could interrupt their move they're doing and you can follow up with another attack. I can't find a real problem with this though, but an easy counter if used on yourself would be to using a lightning tech that would electrocute the user that used it on them self.

The user gathers chakra and then makes it into water charka. He then releases it underneath himself, creating a giant stream of water that the user rides on top and starts to ride towards the opponent. As they get near the opponent, he uses his water chakra and uses shape manipulation to create a water sword to slash the opponent with while traveling to them. I think this is alright, considering you're using water to travel towards your opponent and then slashing them with a water sword. A good counter to this would be using something to elevate the opponents position like a pillar or using a lightning move to strike the wave that is coming towards them.

Another basic one. You gather Water chakra in your mouth, and as you place your hand on your mouth, shaping your hand in any way you want, you expel the gathered Water chakra in the form of a whip. This whip's movements can be altered, by altering the motion of your head and you need to focus on your chakra to maintain the form and the shape of the whip, else it just turns into water and falls down. It has some solid force to it, since you can use it to lash your opponent in any way you want, and the force is enough to send him/her flying back. You're easily vulnerable to lightning attacks, since the lightning would run across the whip and electrocute you.

(Suiton: Hahonryuu) - Water Style: Destruction Torrent

This one is a canon technique, used by Yamato. After weaving 3 handseals, you gather a good amount of Water chakra in the palm of any of your hands. You then convert your Water chakra into water, while giving it a great amount of rotation, similar to how Naruto formed the Rasengan by "rotating" his chakra. This would form a small spiralling ball of water which turns soon into a vortex that can be blasted forward. Through further shape manipulation, this forms a powerful spiralling wall of water, which has the ability to easily push away the opponent, and projectiles, melt fireballs and deflect solid fire, etc. Offensively, it travels at a high speed, hitting the opponent as a massive mass of water, which can cause some damage to his body, although not significant and send him flying away due to the way it hits. This is best used when combined with a Wind Rasengan, as it possesses violent rotation, as well as the destructive force of Wind chakra, which would form a devastating combo to extinguish massive Fire techniques with ease. Although, you need a clone or an ally to perform it in a combo with that. Additionally, it forms a decent water source, so you can use it defensively or offensively, as well as in a supplementary fashion, using the water as a setup for other water techniques, which require a water source.

The user focuses their water chakra within their mouth and completely fills it up. Using their hand to maneuver towards their mouth, using shape manipulation they create a water whip that's expelled from the mouth. The user has to continually keep the shape and give chakra to maintain it or else it just becomes water and falls to the floor. This is good because it can be very good with taijutsu and can easily be used to get your opponent in a bad situation, the problem however is that you are very easily counter such as your opponent using a lightning tech and electrocuting you.

This is a very good tech in my opinion. The user focuses their chakra in the palm of either hand and uses shape manipulation to give the water a spiral of some sort that expands into a vortex when flying out. This can be used with conjunction to another tech, such as the Rasengan and so massive damage since both are spinning things but the wind giving it more destructive power behind it. This tech could also be used to set up another move, since it leaves water around and could be used defensively by blocking projectiles, pushing people away, blocking fireballs and even counteract powerful fire moves.

Description: After performing the required hand seals Monkey → Rat → Tiger → Dragon → Horse → Dragon it then allows the user to generate a spinning column of water which will take the form of a snake with a gaping jaw. This snake can twist and follow its targets and swallow them. After it has swallowed them, it turns into a river that carries the enemy away.

After weaving a long set of handseals, you materialize forth a large amount of water from thin air, and use your shape manipulation to add rotation to the water, forming a spinning column of water. This column of water extends linearly forward. Once the column is formed, you use shape manipulation once more to give it the shape of a large snake with a large jaw. By focusing on your chakra, you can alter the direction of the snake and once it hits your opponent via the means of crushing them with it's jaw, it turns into a large river which carries your opponent away. This doesn't do much damage by yourself, but if used right, your opponent can drown. A neat technique to form a decent water source. Particularly good to deal with pesky shadow clones. The range is excellent too.

Description: The user creates a flow of gushing water under the opponent which traps them in a sphere of water. The user can perform an attack while the opponent is trapped. This jutsu is similar to Water Prison Technique, though the user doesn't need to keep his arm in the sphere of water.

One of my favorite techniques. This is in short; the B-Ranked variant of the Water Prison Technique. Requires no handseals. You just send your Water chakra to the area around the opponent and materialize a decent amount of spiralling water under him, and using shape manipulation, you form it into a sphere. Now, this one is unique. Although, you have to focus on your chakra until you completely form the sphere, you can attack once the sphere is formed and the opponent is trapped. After a turn or two, if not countered, the opponent will drown and will die to lack of oxygen. The good part of this tech is that, it forms a water source by itself, since even if the sphere if countered, you can use it as a water source for other techniques to follow. Excellent to combo with customs..something like, form the sphere and then make the water explode or use it a medium to alter it's properties. Also, you don't need to keep your arm in the sphere and the range is pretty cool.
