"Sure thing sensei, well suiton is the water nature of chakra. It is very versatile and can take many shapes and sizes depending on the skill of the user. To me it is the second best offensive element (next to Katon) and is also a VERY good defensive element (Waterstyle: Mizukagame no Jutsu).
Water vs the other elements give a variety of results actually;
Water vs Fire: As we all know, water is the natural remedy for fire and as a result is capable of dousing MOST katon techniques, of course there are some OP techs out there that need a mere ocean to douse. That being said, water should be the first counter thought of during a fight with a katon user.
Water vs Wind: Now this... I cannot imagine a suiton jutsu colliding with a fuuton jutsu. My guess is that wind would win. Say for example a waterdragon jutsu meets a cyclonic fuuton jutsu, I would think if the suiton tech isn't strong enough it would become engulfed in wind and becomes apart of that jutsu, like a typhoon or hurricane thingie. *Spark of ingenious* I bet thats how storm release was made! :O
Water vs Earth: Well, now we have the natural remedy for water, Doton. As seen in Naruto, Doton walls and encasings dominate the defense area. Especially against water attacks. Like the 3rd using that mud wall (earth variation) to block the 2ND's powerful water jutsu! Wasn't that something or what?
Water vs Lightning: Yep, we all know how this plays out...electrocution and paralysis. If you see a raiton jutsu, don't be stupid and use suiton (in most cases). Raiton is one of the most aggressive and versatile, against an ordinary water jutsu raiton would dominate, sending its killer intent electrons through the H2O molecules in mere milliseconds. Sad really."

There are 361 chakra points on the body and each point flows chakra to the next in a cycle, this flow of chakra can be controlled through intense meditation and or hand seals.
There are many types of chakra, there are the regular 5; water, earth, fire, wind. But there are also advanced elements like wood of scorch, or ice. This requires a Kekkei Genkai for the mixture of the elements. Suiton also known as Water release is a ninjutsu that allows you to use your chakra to create or manipulate water. Tuning your chakra to take the characteristic of actual water then you create water or able to tame existing water to do your bidding.
Water is stronger than Fire because it quenches it. Water has no air that fire require to burn thus making fire shortlived
Water is weak to earth because earth us sturdy and harder than water. Water is not able to break through earth except in overwhelming volume or density. However earth would suck up water into itself for nourishment.
Water+Earth
Water softens earth and makes it more sticky and slipery.
A KG is said to be Mokuton. Wood is plant and plant is an essence of life. Wood grows from the ground(earth) and water acts as food thus the logic behind wood release and other plant based elements.
Water+Lightning
Water would serve as a conductor for lightning. Very good combination you can ever find.
KG pertaining to this is Storm release.

I began flowing my arms, like I normally do in my meditation sessions. Simulating the motion of water I began to arc and bend my arms slowly, feeling the calm cool force running from my solar plexus into the main chakra tunnels. After a few seconds I was swimming (no pun intended) in this euphoric chakra feeling.
"Hmm, I feel it sensei."
