Suigetsu and his family don't seem to get any love from NB and this struck me as odd seeing as the Hozuki family is one of the more impressive families in the manga.
Suigetsu - people give credit to most of the time putting him at mid jonin level, which is good but remember he's still a teenager and he has the a dream to reclaim and use all 7 swords like his brother and to reunite the 7 swordsmen. He has good jutsu for his amount of time training, after all he was locked up for who knows how long so that's time lost training.
Mangetsu - Legendary 7 swordsman, imo best swordsman in the group seeing as he could use everyone else's swords.
2nd Mizukage - Granted he was the enemy so he lost that's just manga logic, but look at how hard it was for them to take him out even with him giving them help.
So basically the Hozuki clan aint nothin to **** with protect ya neck
