I suggest that there should be an option where the maker of a question thread can thank anybody who posts on that thread and makes a good post that answers there question. In this case I think only the the maker of the thread can thank the person, and the maker can't thank that person outside the thread to prevent the thanking sprees which happened on christmas eve, then ended about 1/3 the way through christmas where peoples rep randomly jumped like 700 points cause people going through the forums and repping every single post they made.

Just a random suggestion.

That seems like a good idea. It reminds of the youtube thumbs up and down to rate comments.


And yes, Christmas-Eve did ruin the rep system. But it would be a bit bad to take it all away now...

I'm all in for this. That way, we won't need to spread some reps again before giving them to that person again. xD

It sounds like a good idea, but i think we are all exaggerating with the reps and thanks.
In my opinion, they should all be removed, cause they make people obsessed and can start conflicts^^
And if someone makes a nice thread or something good for the site we can all see it, from the thead's views and the visits on their profile, no need for green bars.
Anything like this could lead to a rep competition, like we have seen it happening before.
So my suggestion is to remove all those green bars from everyone, cause there is no way this rep system can be totally fair.
