This thread would play into the family-friendly deal NB is generally based upon. I'm not saying let's all go PG because Nb is full of older teens and so on, but little things like this (Especially direct insults) should be re-enforced. I support it. Would I care if it was enforced more? Not at all honestly, but you do have my support because the insults could hurt the kids or the sensitive people. Will it be enforced? It is and I don't see the issue brought up alot. Normally just report it. Most NB members outside the Naruto discussion are sane/good.

In all seriousness. This is the internet, mods do actually do their best to keep use of those topics and language down but there comes a time when you have to see that mods, no matter how many we have, mods cannot automatically see every single bad thread/post as soon as it's made. Everyone has their own opinion and this being the internet you're always going to have friction among members. You can try making security tighter, but the best way to do so is to just report anything you see is in violation of the rules. Other than that, theres not much nb can do. If we all used the report button, it would guide the way to a cleaner nb. But, this is a common issue because not everyone does report problems. So, you seem to be seeing a lot of these posts and threads, report them when you see them, or if it's ever something that's really out of hand, report and vm a mod that has power in that section. But really, there's but so much the staff can do because they're not everywhere at once, the rest is up to the good Samaritans of nb.

Shouldn't gay people be the more mature person and ignore the insults?
After all if people on NB stop using the word Gay and F4g people outside of NB will still use them.So they are going to have to deal with it one way or another.
Plus I don't think people are going to change part of their vocabulary because people are insulted,especially with the amount of trolls here.

When we limit the freedom of speech of others, we almost create this counter-intuitive method in which we cradle people because a word is used. I understand that people shouldn't face direct attacks, but I don't think we should ban a word. I find the word to be used only by ignorant individuals, but that still doesn't mean we should stop the word in general. Though I'm not gay, I don't get mad when someone makes a racial slur towards a character or anything to do with some manga/anime that only has an impact on me now. All in all, people should learn to ignore things or the rest of their life is going to suck even more than it does now.

OT: I agree with you. CBA to write a long paragraph but as Yard stated no matter how many mods NB have they cannot look at every single inappropriate threads...if you find something that's violating forum rules use the report button to report it.

If you see something that is a problem on the base just report it and we'll take care of it. It's as simple as that.
