If this thread was made by someone else and not by you Kagutsuchi, I would have trashed it immediately. But I know you for almost 3 years now and I understand that it's just frustration and not a personal/hateful thread.
First of all, and you should all know this, the IP ban takes 3 seconds from the time of an admin but there needs to be some procedure in order to be given. A smod needs to official 'notify' us and open the case. Then all admins and smods talk about this and decide if this needs to happen taking under consideration that when you IP ban someone it is for life and also, it's not only banning this person but a potential group of people that could be invited to join the site by this same user. It is not as simple as it seems. It's not just one person. I am not taking about spam bots or situations of emergency of course.
Second, if we let every member of the forum engage into this kind of discussion and decisions about who should be banned or not, then there would be chaos. That's the reason why we have hierarchy and a staff team that's responsible for taking these decisions. And the best proof about this, is those members who posted in favor of banning here without knowing Takai at all.
Third, and more specifically about this. I do not understand why an IP ban should be given to him. I would definitely not question an RP-sections ban since in fact there seems to be a problem with Takai in the battle arena. But an IP ban is definitely not justified for someone who is not advertising, who is not stealing our systems/ideas/patterns and who is not causing chaos anywhere in the forum. The IP ban is the most severe type of punishment we have on this forum and it should be kept reserved for extreme situations only.
I will leave this thread open to discussion, in order to answer to your questions on what I posted. But please, do not spam and do not offend anyone.
