No.

Heres why...

The more people that are registered to the site, the better the site looks to google/forthcoming guests and members. To delete inactive members, it would mean sacrificing the stats of the site. V wont do that. close the thread U_U
I have to agree with Scar.

I dont agree. For two simple reasons, really. How could a site possibly look any better with lying statsz, Nobody will either stay/recommend this wth people who dont even get on. The second is, this is already the BEST forum for Naruto already. "Sacrificing" a couple dozen members won't matter.

Funny I got that question but my reason and the topic starter's reason are different. I ask one of the mods about it and he said they never delete any members even if they never logged 3 years ago and even the banned ones. I ask it since I might not check NB for a long time, depending on the situation in real life it may be 1 year or lesser. I'm only worried that my account will be automatically deleted like in other social sites and the things I've got from the time I become a member here will be gone.
I don't agree with the idea of deleting members who don't check NB for a longer period since it'll be unfair to them, they may have their own reasons.

Also, the more members, the better just like other social sites.

As Scar said, the stats are improved with the number of accounts. NB sky-rocketed to unimaginable popularity in few time compared to numerous other forums.

Also, there are many members who joined a bit longer ago and were very close to some others who got inactive. Just for the sake of those acquaintances, I find it harsh that heir accounts are deleted while it will be good if there's still hope we could re-see them.

I say give them a year until they get an email from an admin or mod stating a 1 month compliance to become an active member again, but they have to become fully active and get a certain amount of post's within the 1 month if they want to keep it.

I disagree highly. Although most members may be in their teen years and have almost little to no "hiccups" in their routines and lives, some members (the ones that have been here from the beginning) are adults, with their own lives and such. Can you imagine deleting the account of Kawagiri? Or Nero? Or Emperor? Or any other who has done zoo much for the site but, for real life problems or situations, has stopped loggin in? I disagree. If i didn't know better, id say you are thinking of trying to have their RP stuff copied and resubmitted by other members once their account was deleted...and that would be just wrong, right?

I disagree with the OP and this thread as well. Already som members have been trying to do just that- copy the RP stuff, in fact steal it in many cases.

More than that there are many members who do not participate regularly but part of the number NB counts as their registered number on the first page. They still may post some times- not everybody is interested in posting at NB from 5 accounts just because they are too lazy to go out and be active in RL.

I made this account in 2009 and didn't post for months in between before returning back. I am again not posting as much as I did before and want to take a break again but I plan to return back. And certainly will be very annoyed if I find somebody deleted my account just because another idiot couldn't thinkof an original name for his own self and stole mine.

What's with NBer's and name/avatar/signature stealing?
