Sub or Dub, which you choose ?

I watch every anime regardless of what it is, subbed besides Dragon Ball Z (literally the only one where the Dub is actually better than the Sub). Dubs always get the voices so wrong and they never express the emotion well enough for the characters. I find the Japanese nail most of the characters down really really. Also, once you watch enough sub, you get used to reading the sub titles and it becomes sub conscious that you'll be able to focus on it and the show at the same time.

Normally sub but dub isn't always as bad as people make it out to be. Some eng dub characters have better vioce actors imo.

I like the voices of Yuri Lowenthal (Sasuke), Crispin Freeman (Itachi) and Liam O'Brien (Gaara).

The sub. The dub voice actors tend to have a nasty habit of exaggerating every word that comes out of their mouths.

Not to mention the dub is immensely underrated and has improved over time. I DARE one of you to tell me Pain's dubbed voice isn't godly.

I watch all anime in sub. Reading the translations doesn't bother me. After awhile, you learn how to read enough to understand what is going on so you can concentrate on the actual show. Dubs make everyone sound like a Californian surfer.

Definitely subbed. A few dubbed voices are pretty good though. (Itachi, Pain, etc.) The only anime I prefer dubbed is DBZ.

Sub shits. It's not surprising that Japanese voice actors can handle their voicing better. I can't see how English actors can voice something that's not originally theirs as good as the Japanese counterparts.

I generally prefer sub for newer anime

But imo some of the older anime like Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, and Cowboy Bebop had great dub

I am starting to think you aren't actually serious when you make comments. It looks like you just like to go against popular majority, which is fine. This might explain some of the bs posts you make about Sakura. Didn't someone call you out for being a troll a while ago also?

I don't like the one, where men sound like squeky female voices... If you prefer thats your thing dude.. other than that, I don't like it.

And sorry to burst your little bubble, there are alot of people who prefer the dub over the anime. So why do you have a stick shoved up your ass , whether i like the dub over sub? Sub voices are pretty horrible.. you talk about the majority.. on a website that represents only part of the fandom.. maybe around 2%?

I'm sorry, but people tend to wank on anything thats "original" despite the other being better. "the manga is better than the anime".. no the f*ck it ain't.. but thats what your "majority" on the website agrees with.

All anime is technically dubbed and every language has good and bad dubs. I love the double standard that the dub-hating subbers have on how the dubs mess the voices up when the same things can happen in the Japanese. That is, sometimes the subbed voices might not be true to the personality of a manga character.

Also, a lot of people might forget this: The Japanese do have a say in the Eng. dub casting/scripting of an anime. That is, if a line has Japanese humor that might not work in an Eng. dub, sometimes the Japanese might say for the script writers to change the line to something to have some American humor.
