Why is there a suffix always on everybody name

Sakura-chan

Naruto-kun

Sasuke-kun

whats that all about been wondering for 10 years lol. Never asked anyone.

San,Chan and all of those are just terms used for addressing a person in a respectful way.I took a bit of Japanese language and writing class.
