and his sensei/sempai teaching ways sucked and he didn't know anything, then that students teaches someone else then they teach someone else then they teach someone that same bad way of learning and then we have a bunch of rpers who don't know how to use an element correctly

i vote against it, if you are sempai then that means a sensei who is qualified believes you are qualified to be it. Thats how it should be

we just need more of them to be honest

Let's make an approximation that about 45/50-60% of the RP system have at least one element mastered. Not because one masters an element generally means he is fit to teach it. Your suggestion is like saying everyone with an element mastered should be a senpai. Some members are lucky, they get training in the first month they've joined, and mastered the element that same month as well. That member would be nothing but an inexperienced member with element mastery status, and thus would not be fit to teach. Regardless what rank he can go up to, why send him out to teach others?
The whole problem is that you newer members can't wait. I've joined around this time last year, and yet I don't have everything mastered. Some have joined late last year in October etc. and already have the basic five. Stop comparing to older members, NB didn't have such a large population back in the day, there were less members who RP, less members interested. Yet, you still have members from back in 2009, 2010 who still haven't mastered the basic 5, if yes, then maybe not ninjutsu, taijutsu and genjutsu.
It's the same cycle everyday, everyone gets up and wants to be a senpai. The day they become one, their entire style changes because they simply can't handle the pressure. Not all sensei or senpai are active in teaching, so what? I've been a senpai for about 4 months now, the first day with the title was all fun, accepting students and feeling like I have made an accomplishment. Two weeks later, wallies of training requests in vm, pm, email and msn. Deal with it, I teach who I can. Taking the minimum of 20 students, and at one point I took a maximum of 42 at one time. Everyone has RL issues, some has a heavier burden than others. It isn't easy logging into NB each weekday, knowing a limit of 5 hours until you need to study, etc. That 5 hours I get, I have to teach. I'm not legally bound to teach, I'm not held by a contract, I'm not being payed, but still, I log on, I teach, I do what I do. And yet, there's no difference in results "Train me plz plz plz plz. Please Drizzy senpai plz." Everyday, approximately 10-20 training requests are sent to my profile. How do I deal with it? "Sorry, currently full", if they're generous enough they understand, if not, they continue, "plz plz plz plz". Things and time change, I'm not online during weekdays any at all or only for an hour now, I make up for it my training extra on weekdays. Using an example, on Friday of last week, I decided I'm going to relax, watch One Piece, the end result, "Senpai, reply to training plz plz plz". I'm tired of the "plz", I'm tired of the "train me". Yet, I endure it, I accept who I can, and tell whoever I'm unable to teach that I'm full.
There are too much impatient people these days. I'm talking on behalf of all sensei and senpai here. It simply annoys me when there are silly suggestions for more sensei/senpai as if we're not doing what we can.

As much as my head wants this idea to work so i can train people, i have to disagree, i've been RPing for 8-9 months now, and i'm just now getting close to finishing my elements but you know what sets me apart? I don't complain, or pester i bide my time until i can get training. I don't care how long the training takes its fun, and I'm getting somewhere. Then one day when i'm a senpai/sensei i can teach people my experiences so that they enjoy the ride of training too.

I started RP in Jan. and I have all Basic Five Mastered, as well as being trained in Genjutsu|Kenjutsu|Ninjutsu|Taijutsu|Medical.
You just have to search which isn't quite hard.
I would suggest you ask Senpais to teach you basic five, and have Senseis do the remainders as Senpai's aren't allowed to teach it.

I'm an RP mod, sensei, been a senpai, been a student, been no one in the forum. Perhaps not all people know but i started RPing a not even a year ago.

In less than a year i mastered basic 5, ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, gentle fist, wood, fuuin and i am receiving medical training.

Was it luck? No. I talked to people, interacted a lot, became very active, logged in every day, read a lot, learned, was patient, etc. I asked every sensei and senpai. Many weren't available so i was patient. Eventually i started training.

Once i mastered the basic 5 i applied to be Scary Yamato's senpai. I got the place. Eventually i took the sensei test and passed. Applied to be an RP mod, and got picked. And it all wasn't by luck. It was hard work. You need to be very active to get somewhere in the RP. You need to be nice, patient, etc.

Now, it may not be easy for everyone, but you also have to work for it. Just dropping random vms here and there on senseis and senpais won't do the job solely. You need to be active.

Now, students teaching students is an absolute no. It won't work and would eventually kill the RP. We already have enough under qualified "teachers" around and the effects are noticeable. Lowering the quality isn't the solution.

Now, be patient, be active and eventually you'll find training.

Myself as a sempai know that training isnt that tough to find. I am often busy and now understand what many go through having to teach others. I see a lot of people fight and use wrong jutsus or just read the discription without actually knowledge on using it... Quite humiliating and this si with someone capable teaching you lol imagine someone incapable, the newest gen would be horrendous so my answer is no. Also then we would have more sempais or teachers then students.

My bio got approved on the 25 of december. I worked pretty hard to master basic five, gen, tai and almost done Nin and am starting medical and fuin.

I dont get how everyone complains. Work hard and be active in the RP forum and youll get good and find teachers. This is not the solution.

Some ppl are just lucky. I have been extremely lucky. But I feel for the people who haven't been cos you know its a part of the forum that they want to be a part of be there are obstacles against them which prevent that. I know when I started only a couple months ago a lot of other ppl were joining as well. Idk what the solution is but a lot of people want to play and maybe there should be some other alternatives for them to gain training or something.

Well people post on sempai or seneis walls asking for training. Honestly if someone asked me how my day was and was kind instead of a "Can you train me in doton please?" I would most likely enjoy responding to the VM instead of some people ignoring profile msgs and still asking. Sometimes even in a rude members, if you speak to someone who later becomes a sensei or sempai using those connections isnt illegal o.o However I dont recommend trying to befriend people for training just be friends with a lot of the senseis or sempais and one day youll see "Accepting Students" on their profile and if you ask nicely youll get the spot. Most of my training came from activity and applying at training apps. Im sure most people do the same as I use to, if someone became a sensei or sempai they would be stalked until a thread was made for apps or until they were ready to respond to the flood of VMs. I usually got lucky when I was on and saw a training application which helped. Keep an eye on the RP forum and make friends and youll get there xd

iono like i said ive been extremely lucky. I have training for everything and only applied for 1 spot, usually just get offered. but thats def not the norm. I mean even at the end of the day people have to be patience yes because this whole thing is dependent on other people, and at the end of the day they're going to do what they want to do. If they don't wanna train they won't ya know? And you cant train yourself so...even if there was an idea like Dupa suggested, the same thing might happen...

While i certaintly admire and respect both of your patience, i can also understand where the new rper´s are coming from, they first hear about the rp, they make their first bio which gets approved.
They get super excited and can´t wait to start training and then end up waiting for months, it happened to me.
I had to wait for a month before starting my first training and i wasn´t the most patient guy.
But eventually as i kept trying, interacted and asked at the right time, i got accepted and voila! Now i have training in basic 5 + nin,gen and i´m looking for someone to teach me tai.xd
