mu teaching onki dust release is irrelevant to this argument, the jutsu are based on the same thing may it be 2 or 3 elements mixing or inherited and so on, check list for kekkei genkai's and you will see dust release there

Technically, that's wrong. Kekkei Genkai means bloodline limit. The sharingan is a KG but it isn't two elements. The byakugan is a KG but it isn't two elements, the rinnegan, Sakun/Ukun, etc. A KG is something that is hereditary, means it's passed down through the family. It says nothing about it having to be two elements.

Though that Kekkei tota part is somewhat right; Mu taught it to Oonoki but we don't know if that's the only KT that can be taught to someone who isn't family or if they are related or some other thing.
