Strong body/weak mind VS Strong mind/weak body

on NB most times than not brains < power. Rarely you see someoen say a brainer character can beat someone that may be strong (like ay) but not that smart or as smart as the other character.

Brains can only shine through in cannon because NB vs is very simple its a war of the feats.

Brains only mattered in part 1 and Shikamaru's fight against Hidan and Kakuzu.

Just look at the fight with Jubi jin Obito. The team formulated a bunch of strategies, but every single one was rendered useless because of Obito's overwhelming power.

He's not stupid in general, he's stupid in comparison. Thats why i made the example. Raikage isnt even close to Shikamaru's intelligence. But compared to someone normal the Raikage is smart indeed.

Brains for me....but then again... why not both? >_O An intelligent person can defeat an opposition without having to ever touch them, and if they have an extremely sharp tongue, the damage dealt could be irreparable to the mind of someone frail of mind. It could also cut deeper than any blade. I'll take a powerful mind any day. ^_^.

TBH a fight like that with a god on field should be an exception to me can't really think your way out of a fight with a god or attempt to overpower. In a 1v1 against someone or smaller group brains indeed can matter, you forgot Naruto vs 3rd raikage btw that was brains.

OT: Both are equally important and work in different ways.
Ofc going by the Ay vs Shikamaru example the "body" seems to easily overpower the "mind", but its been shown multiple times throughout the manga what both can accomplish and how its not a good idea to focus only in one (ex: Ay vs Sasuke and Shikamaru vs all his opponents).
