roflcopter pointed out about ikkaku renji and ichigo, but i recently got into bleach anime and manga, done both up to where arrancar are making a mess of ichigos home-town.

And quite frankly, the strengths of the characters are a mess, theyre all over the place with ichigo owning multiple captains in soul society to being a complete wuss afterwards.

I dunno i just found everyones strength levels are all over the place and find it VERY difficult if not impossible to grade characters into certain "bands" and its totally impossible to even consider "x vs x" scenarios because the strengths change so much.

Anyone else get annoyed by this??

It puts me off the series a bit, but the story is good so i wanna keep reading, but the fighting just seems crappy all the time because everyones on a pogo stick strength wise.

I completely disagree with you, for the simple fact that this way it's more realistic. For example if you win a soccermatch it doesn't mean that you're going to win the next time when you play against the same team.

Dragonball z had a hierarchie in strength and that's what I always foun annoying, every time there pops up a villain that's 10 times more stronger than the previous one, that's why I like it in Bleach that their strength changes.

Very well said.

Aso the advantages of certain Release over others plays a good part

e.g. Barragan's release SLOWS down Soifon's immense speed, preventing her from using Death in Two Strikes

Well I agree with you and with above posters too.
Strenght hierachy is annoying but absolute mess is even more annoying.
What we have seen in Bleach is absolute mess.

Byakya being one of the stongest Captains got his zanpakutou defeated by "DRUMS" - NON HOLLOW ICHIGO who hasnt mastered black getsuga yet, okay hollow appeared for 5 seconds but.. anyway. That was ridiculous.

Renji and Ikkaku thing was too. But the cause was prolly Kubo didnt think up thestory before creating these fights.

So what else.. Yammy - no comments.

Zaraki vs Ichigo - Ichigo vs Grimmjow - Nnoita vs Kenpachi
TOTAL MESS tbh.

It's protagonist power tnat matters :p

true, for one problem.

Ichigo beat ikkaku, a bankai user, he beat renji, also a bankai user, capain kenpachi who took out tousen and the fox guy himself, he also beat byakuya too, in 2 days, or maybe 3, constantly battling and getting massive wounds.

Then he goes back home and has trouble defeating basic hollows.

Thats, as roflcopter says - a mess.

Its like a class 1 division team winning the cup and then getting owned by a 3rd class division team on the next game, the gaps and changes in strength are too big too fast with little explanation.

Not to mention if realism is your thing then how come ichigo and co. can heal from massive swords going through them and cutting through collarbones in a matter of an overnight sleep RPG final fantasy style.

It just seems every battle ichigo has that i think "this should be easy for him considering the past battles" he ends up getting owned.
