Just something I want to point out, the pacing of this mission was rather a stretch, both factoring in the element chosen and the rank its fixed at. B-ranks are not inherently meant to be "difficult," but neither are they supposed to be simple, requiring a bit more of an explanative process that showcases how exactly you complete your task, despite whatever resistance you might have faced, which is what sets them apart from C or even D-ranks. The majority of this mission could have been summarized into more of an element that reads "learn more about the local regions" or "make a trade with a local," rather than "find and gather ore." By and large, these GST questline missions are left open to quite a bit of creative freedom for the participants so as to avoid unwanted repetition when it comes to the "how" they gather the ore. With that said, the method you chose to approach this isn't inherently wrong, which is why it hasn't landed a failure or a downgrade, but the spread of the content is where lies the conflict. You spent a lot of time "chit-chatting" with the merchant, with no real indication of direction for what you would get out of it other than information, and then you "just happened" to get a chunk of ore out of the exchange by the end of it. In the future, try to consider the rank you're writing at and what the depth of your element might expect. Was the element "talk with a merchant and learn something, then conveniently get a valuable reward" or was it "find and gather ore," suggesting that from paragraph one, your motivation in everything you do throughout your writing is aimed toward the acquisition of said material? You could have made an educated guess that the weaponry the merchant forged was in fact made out of the metal you were after, then pressed them to trade some of the raw material much earlier on in the writing, tying it all together to make sense that it was your pursuit the whole time, rather than it just "coincidentally" coming into your possession by the end of the interaction, by the sheer whim of the NPC.
Congratulations! You've Received an Artefact! (55)
