Storm release or Ranton is an advanced kekkei genkai, created when combining water and lightning affinities. Storm is used by multiple Kumogakure ninjas, Darui being the most notable one. By combining raiton with suiton the user is able to create either dark storm clouds or beams of energy, that can then be guided towards the oponent. Storm release is weak against futon.

Anyway this training is going to be more about Storm then the actual jutsus. There are only 3 canon jutsus, storm is open for CJs but you need to have the vast knowledge for it. Anyway lets begin with what I like most about storm. Its two main forms.

Creating Storm Clouds
Create Storm Lasers

Both move extremely fluidly and are the same with weakness and strength. The lasers are much more fast and move fluidly, kinda like lightning jutsus but with the form and movement of water. While clouds move fluidly like water but with electricity moving along the body of the cloud. The cloud can easily engulf the a person completely. Now since you have the basis.

What will happen if I hit someone with a Laser? And what will happen if someone gets hit by some storm clouds?

Alright....If you hit someone with laser, it will have a greater impact and the strike will be more physicall, leaving a burnt mark on the spot it hit, depending on how powerfull it is whilst on the other hand, if a cloud hits someone, it will be less physicall since clouds are...well clouds....the damage they will make will be more of an electricution and cause internal damage, as well as maybe paralyze the oponent

Storm in general is energy based, no actual solidity to it. Lasers might be considered more solid but it acts just as energy based as the regular clouds. There will be shocked marks in all spots as well, whether hit with lasers or clouds. Overall the difference of storm clouds and lasers is not exactly that vast. However, lasers would act to be kinda more like lightning, where it would pierce through an opponent and shock them, while clouds might instead be more on the water side, where it can engulf an opponent body or limbs delivering shocking pain. So overall the effects mainly remain the same, its how it is done. Of course when making customs for storm release, you can vary the intensity of the shock. It can be something small to wear it can numb an opponent, or be some powerful it can completely shock/burn an opponent. Ranks and type of jutsu used is where it depends. That is the beauty of storm release, it has the mobility of water with the attacking capability of lightning.

With that being said, lets get the small parts over with.

Why is storm weak against wind and water?
Why is storm strong against earth and fire?
And why is it neutral against lightning?

After you explain that, I will tell you exactly how they react when they make contact so we can progress smoothly.

Wind release would basically blow the storm(clouds) away and that is, i think, the reason why its weak against wind....as for water i have no idea i belive because the water can be used as a medium for lightning and thus, a suiton user could use it against you?
Why is storm strong against earth and fire? Well, storm being made of lightning & water it makes alot of sense that it would be strong against these two because lightning is strong against earth and water is strong against fire. The lasers, i belive, if powerfull enough can carve through earth.
And why is it neutral against lightning? I belive because generally its almost the same thing. Storm release is basically lightning that has a physicall form because it is combined with water and if two equally ranked raiton & ranton techniques would clash, they'd have almost similar effects.

Yep, also, storm has the destructive and offensive abilities of lightning. Wind naturally insulates it, so if wind is able to take away the offensive property of the KG it is basically worthless in fights and unable to overpower or defend.

That is not the case, storm is water using lightning as a medium so that would not work. Water is the base of storm, what that means is, it retains the shape and overall structure. If there is too much of something, one will likely overpower the other. Think of it like this, wind and fire can combine, right? However, use too much wind and it will eventually blow away the fire despite its natural combination. Though water and lightning combine, too much water will over come the amount of lightning and naturally insulate it. This forces the lightning to lose its power, and when the power of storm (which is lightning) is taken away, it is basically nothing. The same goes for the base (water).

Well, storm being made of lightning & water it makes alot of sense that it would be strong against these two because lightning is strong against earth and water is strong against fire. The lasers, i belive, if powerfull enough can carve through earth.

It does make a lot of sense. Lemme explain it though, so you get a broader picture.
Water + Lightning= Storm
Though water is weak against earth, what have I said before? Water is simple a base, nothing more or less. It moves and its mobile like water, however its main power comes from lightning, lightning is what makes storm powerful, aggressive, lethal, etc. So the water in the first place won't really react first against the earth, since it is not meant to be the main source of power (however it can be manipulated through proper CJ making *hint hint*) the lightning will react first because its the main source of power. And naturally, lightning is strong against earth.

For fire, it is simple, lightning and fire are both energy, so they will fade through one another, they hardly react when making direct contact, they actually will phase, so what does that leave? Water. Water is naturally strong against fire, so it will douse the fire and the main power source of will continue with the water AKA the base, intact.

I belive because generally its almost the same thing. Storm release is basically lightning that has a physicall form because it is combined with water and if two equally ranked raiton & ranton techniques would clash, they'd have almost similar effects.

BOOM! Perfect answer U_U HOWEVER storm is still mainly fluid and sorta like an energy source. The reason why is, lightning is the main power of storm right? So when the main power alone clashes with the KG, obviously no effects happen, they are the same in offense. Only difference is, storm moves like water (have you seen the lasers move? Like rivers or a stream.) and they are as mobile as water (lightning usually comes from a medium like the body or ground, the water from storm releases allows it to come straight out of thin air, making it more mobile.)
So it is not necessarily a solid or physical body. It is more or less energy, moving and appearing like water.

Alright, I will not go and start to dive into combos and all that cheese. With the storm canon list, not much to really go on for that. CJ making though can be beneficial but depending on the CJ you make for storm, will depend if they can be used for combos and tactical uses. Also, a good rule for thumb is this, when using storm release for combos. If it moves like water and attacks like lightning, it can work. So I'm going to give you a POP quiz u_u. Anyway, we got through what forms storm has, what element it consists of, what it can do offensively, and the pure basis of the entire element. Now, since storm is not that linked well with the canon list, I can help and give you some advice in making some CJs based from storm if you want, however that is optional, but I do recommend. If you don't want to, we can go right into how to use storm release tactically in battle, which after that we can move onto talking about the techniques and wrap up the training. So you decide what we do. Skip over the CJ lesson and do the tactical play with storm, or do the CJ lesson.

P.S. this will not be a lesson where I grant you my entire knowledge in CJs :| I will try to throw ideas and things of that nature to improve and grasp the concept and know what CJs can be made for storm, and what can not.

So the first lesson, that needs to be stuck in your head is this. Cause storm is not used much, it has huge potential for different creations. Simple using shapes, methods, and generic ideas can all be used.

Some things I like to do is simple stuff like, look at the canon list of similar properties of storm (energy based), or that are apart of storm (water and lightning) and come up with techniques similar to them. I have a storm tech that releases lasers out of the limbs of my body, I just copied the ideas of the kaguya and how they erect bones. Looking at the canon list can make great inspirations for storm techniques. Try looking for techs that are unique and useful enough though, that can make a CJ out of. You don't even need to make it exact, just grabbing inspiration is enough to progress from the canon and transition it into storm techniques.
