hi!, thank you for all the responses guys. my post was just to TRY to prove that base rinnegan is not immune to visual genjutsu. but YES sharingan can resist genjutsu, infact the very same chapter where itachi mentions tsukuyomi is unbreakable also states that anyone with a sharingan can bring some resistance to genjutsu. however again he' speaking of just base visual genjutsu. not tsukuyomi. for this, you would need to have more requirements such as being uchiha. it makes no sense for someone who lacks uchiha genes to ignore tsukuyomi just because he has base rinnegan. example: kakashi can't stop OR resist tsukuyomi with sharingan, but sasuke who struggled with itachi's tsukuyomi couldn't stop it but could resist it and even escapes it. but if we give kakashi rinnegan, he suddenly automatically immune, not even a chance to get caught into it? that makes no sense, otherwise what exactly would be the benefit in being uchiha? (aside from turning off the power to spare less chakra drain).
now if it were the tamoe rinnegan, the one sasuke had and i suppose the one madara's and kaguya's forehead had. they would be immune to visual genjutsu. heck, afterall what's the point of Casting infinite tsukuyomi, if you're just going to get casted into it as well? huh? why would kaguya create an army of zetsus if she's caught in genjutsu? it's obvious to me atleast that tamoe rinnegan (sasuke, madara, kaguya) is immune to visual genjutsu. not base rinnegan. when zetsu called out "rinnegan" he was referring to the class (rinnegan) not the tier (sharrinnegan). just like the scan in my thread post, zetsu called itachi's eyes by it's class name (sharingan) not it's tier name (mangekyo sharingan). that's all i'm saying
stop = not get hit by tsukuyomi at all. like sasuke's tamoe rinnegan did. pure immunity
resist = you get hit by tsukuyomi, but you can try to fight it and possibly escape it. (same blood exclusive)
