He was pretty smart in the Pein fight. Remember that utilizing a jutsu to suit an objective is considered being "smart" too! But other than that, he still transformed a clone into the shape of an FRS to trick the Preta path and use the distraction to hit the Naraka path. Than he realized that he was still and had the other path take in nature energy.

There was that one time when they where fighting Zabuza, and he did it in cahoots with Sasuke, but I think that is the only time. I guess Kishi found that was too smart for Naruto, and decided not to repeat it, ever again.

Hhaah, you are such a fail kid. Sasuke is waaay smarter then Naruto in battles, that was proven in Deidara VS Sasuke, as well as Orochimaru VS Sasuke and Itachi VS Sasuke.

Sasuke had a plan for Orochimaru, he wasnt being manipulated or anything. If I was you, I would read the manga and not just look at the pictures - because it look slike you only do that.

Sasuke was confused when Tobi told him the truth about Itachi, wouldnt you be too? If not, that explains how normal you are
