Stop comparing to Tobirama to Danzou!

I'm seeing this crop up more and more but they have little in common regarding the village.

The main differences:

- Danzou was okay with letting people in the village die and go as far as to ruthlessly slaughter others just to get position of Hokage. Tobirama actually cared about the villagers and wouldn't kill others, or let people die like Danzou did.
- Tobirama doesn't steal Sharingan, haha....

They're both realists but Tobirama actually cares about something rather than just himself.. :nindaime:

He was ruthless to obtain Hokage title, he didn't show any sign that he was bothered that a few people could've died in the Pein Invasion..

i duno man its like the sannin how naruto is like jiraiya and sakura like tsunade sasuke and oro, hiruzen and hashi, danzo and tobirama. i mean we dont know much about tobirama but we know he didnt like or trust the uchiha and is a strong factor in causing all the drama thats going on. i think they both are my least fav kage but ill still put tobi over danzo

Danzo cared about the village he was just a tad over opinionated on how things should be run. I think that's why he was so driven to become hokage. He didn't think Sarutobi and the whole Will of Fire was how the village should be run. Danzo did some messed up stuff no doubt but he did it (in his mind at least) for the good of the village and who's to say that some of his plans wouldn't have worked. Sometimes doing evil is the best way to do some good.

Actually this has been done twice by the same guy....needless to say I've destroyed that thread twice, but the guy won't listen to facts or reason

The major difference is that Danzo was a fanatic while Tobirama was not. Danzo didn't fulfill his duty as a shinobi til he died for it's defense while fighting Sasuke and I believe he finally realized why Tobirama appointed Hiruzen instead of him.

tobirama is a douche, if he treated the uchiha as equal, they would have learned to love the village. Itachi would have been able to live his true role as a leader in the war for peace but instead the uchiha refused to live under persucution (who wouldnt) and refused itachis ideals, forcing itachi into the role of bad guy and killing nearly all hope of peace for the uchiha

Quicker? He was involved in politics for what 50 years? The quicker and cowardly route would have been to try a coup and take out Hiruzen with Root. He had all that time to build up his strength and he stayed in a powerful position for decades. Try looking at it from Danzos perspective. Hiruzen became Hokage after two Senju who trained him. After him one of his disciples disciples. After that One of his disciples and the granddaughter of the first. Imagine being a Democrat or Republican and watching the other party win the presidency five times in a row. Eventually you're going to want to do something to make sure the next one isn't. Disrupting the succession of the hokages to another one of their disciples is justifiable when you see it from his point of view.
The only cowardly act I saw on his part was right before he died when Sasuke was about to kill him.
