Stop comparing Hinata to Sakura

After getting stabbed by Madara and saved by Naruto, Sakura had the audacity to think about her precious Sasuke-kun. This is being compared to Hinata is being absorb by the shinju god tree and thinking about Naruto-kun right before being sealed.

You could argue that Sakura was wondering if Sasuke even cared about his teammates and you could say that Hinata calling for Naruto's help and she obviously was, but since this is all up to interpretation, we'll being using the more common interpretation.

Why is Sakura thinking about Sasuke any different from Hinata thinking about Naruto?

Sakura's "relationship" with Sasuke is like your average everyday abusive relationship, where the dominant partner verbally or physically abuses the other partner repeatedly, and instead of leaving the abuser, the victim keep coming back. Its ridiculous.

#1 -Unlike Sakura, who is one of the main protagonist, Hinata is a (female) background character. Background characters in the Naruto series are notoriously under developed as well as female characters. Sakura on the other hand is an (under developed) main character, who should have relevancy to the main plot, but doesn't. So holding an irrelevant background character on par with a main character makes Sakura look bad, not better.

Hinata jumped in to save Naruto from Pain and got slammed around like a rag doll and still tried to save him and got stabbed for her efforts.

But this event acted as a catalyst for Naruto defeating Pain.

Kakashi said her love for Sasuke has matured. It could mean that she still loves him (unromantically) and still consider him a comrade and to rescue him from the darkness. Or she had come to see his flaws and still accepts him and loves him romantically and in the sentence before, as a comrade and to save him from the darkness. They've handled each other at their worst. Naruto and Hinata had only had positives, which is great, but they hardly know each other, really.

I don't even like SasuSaku and I just kinda defended it. Ew.

PS: I like the last pic of Hinata and Sakura together, I wish we got to see a friendship between the two.

You're totally right, she should have muttered, "Shino, Choji, Shikimaru, Ino, Temari, Lady Tsunade, Kiba, Sai, Rocklee, Mei, noooo!". That would have made such good use of panel time.

I feel where you are coming from. I think Hinata is better than Sakura, but Hinata herself isn't even all that great. She's overly obsessed over Naruto.

Well Hinata definitely has better qualities in that area.
Also, SasuHina happening would be Kishi's biggest asspull ever. I think many fans would try to lynch him if he did that.
