lmao. is this really the new standard? is it just a fad or is opm really better than naruto?
I even saw one the naruto forum website change their name into one punch man forum. like really? lol

naruto cons
- TnJ (sometimes okay, sometimes unnecessary)
- Supportive role dwindled (thanks to shippuden)
- inconsistencies (like who doesn't?)
- art style quality dwindled
- predictable no developing shippers
- becomes less ninja oriented and more dbz powerscale (some view this as a neg)
naruto pros
- good sound track
- great fight scenes (both narrative and no talk all show fights)
- development
- lots and lots of variety abilities.
- actual meaning to it.
- has humor and can still be taken seriously
- not as predictable as opm
- tons of world building (thx to shippuden)
- NV so much to offer it's able to have it's own official thread section

Its a praody, naruto and DBZ are both serious. That can basically be used as the explanation for everything about it that seems stupid compared to other anime's. it is a good anime, but the fanbase is the worst i have ever seen (I GET IT, SAITAMA PUNCHES THINGS AND THEY DIE. CAN I START DEBATING ABOUT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND PLOT NOW?).

That's not really the point of OPM. You know Saitama's always going to beat the bad guy, but it's far less subtle about that fact. You know Naruto is always going to beat Sasuke at the end. You know Luffy is always going to beat Doflamingo at the end. You know Ichigo is always going to beat Aizen at the end. OPM is supposed to be a parody of that kind of predictability.

(And if you're going to start the old Naruto vs Sasuke crap, pretend i said Pain instead.)

I still wonder why people hold OPM to such high regard, the guy is a parody of shounen manga, when did parodies become as credible as what they're mocking? People don't compare Weird Al Yankovic to Michael Jackson in terms of actual talent.

You can argue that case with almost any manga.
Naruto<--In the end, naruto will talk his enemies into losing
Dbz<--Big villain/opponent, vegeta will fight do well then lose so goku will step in and somehow manage to beat an opponent who is naturally stronger than him.

Obviously the opponents are defeated in one punch but the battles through the series consist of multiple types of strikes. And if you read one punch man (one), sometimes he beats his opponents by just talking to them and not hitting them at all.

That's the universal manga for you

oh gawd. that's the worst thing about their fanbase. naruto community is cancer, i won't deny but atleast most of the "cancer" is focused on each other arguing and hating each other(narusaku vs naruhina/itachi vs nagato/naruto vs sasuke etc),

but opm it's like they all work together vs other fictional series. i can't even watch a marvel, dc or dbz related video on youtube without saitama > insert character somewhere on the comment section, and god forbid i get into a debate with them, cause at the very least we didn't get that from AOT.

Saitama does not correlate into concrete debates, its like arguing who is faster, road runner or flash. Trolls on YT comments are just, trolls to be honest.
