In serious situations, however, he is shown to have a very stern and intense look. He is usually wearing a mask over the lower half of his face, no one really knows why. Following with a scar on his left eye.

Stein rately does anything without reason, but when he see's something he doesnt like, he rarely keeps it to himself. And this can cause serious problems at times. It is said that most people usually misunderstand him almost completely.

Background Info.
History:
Stein was born Jan. 21. Yet there is no birth certificate to prove this. His father was known to be a very powerful ninja, and a rare genious at that. He taught Stein everything he knew, up until the age of 6. That's when Stein's father left on a dangerous S-Ranked mission, and was never heard from again. Stein never met his mother, and has no idea who she is. Shortly after his father dissapeared, Stein had already begun to realize what had happen, he takes after his father, who said before is a genius. Not many people in the Uchiha clan knew of Steins existance, the few who did rarely paid him any attention. Stein was usually training in him and his dads favorite spot, or meditating, trying to conquer his anxiety. He left the part of the village in which most of the uchiha clan lived and begin caring for himself, living in the shadows of Konoha. Teuchi (Manager of Ichiraku) Usually gave Stein free meals out of pitty. Stein soon started hanging out with two great friends that he would begin to know for the rest of his life. Their names were Vergil and
Mugen Ryukyu... The three trained hard together , for a short period of time under a great sensei, who is now known as Axel. The three boys, curious, decided to leave the village for a bit. This is how the scar became on Steins left eye, They were all three attacked by rogues, they managed to beat them, but Stein was the one who had to take one for the team. The rushed back to konoha, and patched Stein up. This is when the first tomoe of his sharingan appeared. Soon after that, the three split up, going seperate ways. Mugen his own way, Vergil was always the one who wanted to teach, and Stein, well thats another story.
After that, Stein spent most of his days training in various places. Inhancing his mobility, conquering his weaknesses, and making himself stronger every little bit he could. He knew it would pay off in the long run. A few years went bye before Stein really came completely back to Konoha. When he did get back, Mugen was as strong as ever, and Vergil Finnaly became a sensei himself. Proud stein was, but never really told them himself. To this day, Stein is still training his A** off, with the same intintion that he's always had.
