A Neogaf user just spotted a very interesting thing in the latest Steam Beta update. It would appear as game borrowing could soon be a new Steam feature, as you can see from the screenshot below:

To check it for yourself, you can update to Steam Beta. Steam > Settings > Beta Participation, go to your Steam/Public/steamui_english to verify.
This feature has been long requested, and it seems like Microsoft‘s intention to allow limited borrowing with Xbox One might have steered Valve to it. We’ll keep you updated, of course, as right now there’s no official confirmation.
