Hi all, so i recently just re downloaded steam onto my new hard drive and it has all my games there. I wanted to start playing Dota 2 so my friend gave me his fully updated copy so i could transfere it without having to re download the game and all the patches. Problem is i have absolutely no idea how to do this. Iv'e tried googling it multiple times but i cant seem to find anything helpful. All i want to do is transfer the game and all the patches from my external hard drive to my new one thats in my computer so i can play the game...HELP!!!

Um I hope this helps:
You need to copy the full game then you need to go to the Steam folder which is located in your Local disk C. Then go to "SteamApps" then go to "common" then paste Dota 2 there.
