Not really. Fusion Reborn happens during the Buu Saga, and aside from Majin Vegeta, neither Goku or Vegeta gained power boosts at any time in the Buu Saga. They are the same.

To my knowledge, in terms of strength, I would say they are equal if the same goku and vegeta are used in both fusions. Only difference between them is the fusion methods used to create them. Unless there was a statement made that changes this..

.... you are wrong.... it happens during the buu saga BEFORE vegito even fuses so even if you say he gets stronge goku at the time of the vegito fusion is at the very least the same. it happens when goku returns to the otherworld... but even so vegito is the winner for obvious reasons

It definitely happened within the Buu Sage, as both Vegeta and Goku were still dead.

Also, SS3 alive or dead is the same strength, it just lasts longer when he's the realm of the dead.

Fusion doesn't work in 1 + 1 = 2 terms. it would be 1 + 1 = 4 because of added power of fusion techniques. And I believe that Potara adds more than Dance, because if my memory serves me right that's what Kai said.

Old Kai said Potara Fusion is a better method of fusion, and this is because it has no time limit, is done faster and can't be f*cked up like the Fusion Dance can be because of improper execution. He never said it was stronger.
