Yoshimitsu was still standing as his sensei told him about the water exercise. About how hard it is. About how precise you need to be with your chakra. About reaching him all the way in the center of the lake. This will be just great... His sensei then told him about how much chakra you would need for varying ranges of depth; the deeper the depth, the more the chakra. This seemed like a basic concept, maybe even easier than wood training. After his sensei had got done explaining how to walk on the water, Yoshimitsu makes his way to the beginning of the lake, and closed his eyes while forming a hand seal to help him regulate his chakra. He was regulating his chakra to the sole of his right foot, and stepped on the water. To his surprise, Yoshimitsu's right foot wend completely through the water, and with the momentum, so did Yoshimitsu. Noooo! After crawling back up the muddy side of the lake, Yoshimitsu got back on his two feet and grunted, with his arms folded. I hate being wet. It irks me to no end. Well, obviously that was not enough chakra, otherwise I would have been atop the water. I am putting way more chakra into this. Yoshimitsu then again forms the tiger hand seal and a paramount of chakra was regulated to the soles on his right foot. He then cautiously steps on the water with his right foot, like testing for the heat. But the weird thing was the water did not want to meet his foot. It shifted awkwardly around it, but Yoshimitsu thought this was just how it was suppose to be so he regulates some chakra to his left foot and completely jumps on the lake. He was up for a total of about two seconds as he then completely lost his balance and toppled under, not focused on his chakra. I swear...when it rains it pours. Yoshimitsu again swam to the edge of the lake and crawled up the muddy side, and got on his feet. He then brushes off the mud on his knees with his hands and wipes his hands on the grass under his feet. Did I mention I hate being dirty as well? I think I know the right amount of chakra I need, but just to be sure I would rather have a little more than less. Yoshimitsu again performs the tiger hand seal and regulates a decent amount of chakra to the soles of his feet and jumps on the lake. He felt his left foot slipping under and did not have much stability with his right foot. He was up to his ankle in water, but calmly closed his eyes and focused on his chakra. He regulated a little less chakra to his right foot and a little more to his left, as he lifted his left leg up out of the water. His ankle was still wet, but Yoshimitsu was getting excited now that he was on the water, perfectly balanced. Wooohoo! Yes I did it! But walking proved a little more difficult than standing. After four or so steps, Yoshimitsu wasn't focused on regulating the chakra to his feet and his left leg sank up to the shin. After some more regulating and minor mishaps, he finally made it to the center and stood next to his sensei. How was that?

Looking over his two students, Mystogan turned to Godric first.
Obviously your time spent molding your chakra has helped you. However, I would have liked it if you had taken part in the Bell Test. And for that...
Raising his left hand, Mystogan caused a wave to rise before him and push his student away from him, about halfway between himself and the shore of the lake.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.
Note: Doesn't require a water source but can be used to manipulate existing water.

Mystogan then turned to Yoshimitsu, and examined his damp clothing.
I explicitly said you needed to come to me without getting wet anywhere past your knees.
Raising his right hand in a similar fashion to his left hand, Mystogan caused a wave to push back his other student, to the same distance away from him as Godric. The two students were long-range away from each other due to the angle of the waves.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.
Note: Doesn't require a water source but can be used to manipulate existing water.

Your chest is clearly higher than your knees.
Holding his hands with his palms upturned, fingers curled like a bowl, Mystogan looked between his students before he spoke again.

We will now discuss a few things important for Elemental Ninjutsu, the basics for any shinobi. Controlling an element is simply forcing your chakra into said element, water, air, earth, or manipulating your chakra to form the element where it is not found naturally, vibrating it at high frequencies for lightning, or super-heating for fire. But before we can begin with elements, there is the matter of Shape Manipulation, the final step in chakra control which has no easy exercise you can go through for practice; we go straight into techniques with Shape Manipulation and hope you can get the feel for it.
Now, you have shown yourselves able to mold chakra, focus your chakra to a certain point on your body, and even expel your chakra to do work. You have also learned basic forms of Shape Manipulation in the Academy, expressed primarily in the form of the Henge no Jutsu. Shape Manipulation is simply focusing your chakra, as you can, into a certain form. This form can range anywhere from a sphere, to a square shield, to a humanoid golem figure. As you can see, it is simply you manipulating your chakra, making it move as you want it to, and keeping it in a certain shape as you want it to be.
The only way which you can truly understand and appreciate what Shape Manipulation really is would be to do it yourself. Which is why we are going to start. This technique is simple and easy to learn and understand, so hopefully it will be a good place to start. First, you will focus chakra in a more calm fashion into the water through your feet. Right now, you are using an aggressive chakra which has physical abilities and aspects, such as holding you up. The chakra I want you to channel into the water, at the same time as you keep yourself up, is less physical and more of an energy, an extension of yourself, which can enter the lake's body and become one with it. And once your chakra has become one with the water, we will move onto the second step of the training process.
The second step is to use your chakra which is "one" with the water, and manipulate it just like you forced your chakra behind the leaf in our first exercise. You will force your chakra into the shape of a shield, any kind of shield you want, but the simpler the design, the better. After you cause your chakra to form a shield, I want you to cause it to float to the top of the water, and rise above the ripples created by us standing atop the aphysical surface. When you can make your shield rise out of the water and in front of you, proving your command of the Water Element and of Shape Manipulation, we will continue.

(Ki Nobori no Shugyō) - Tree Climbing Practice
Rank: E
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 5
Damage points: N/A
Description: This is a training method used to gain the basic skills of chakra control. This training involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of one's feet, and using that to climb a tree without using one's hands. If the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will lose their footing on the tree and fall off. If it is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the tree, causing the bark of the tree to break around the point of contact and the user to fall. This technique becomes second nature to shinobi with more practice.
Note: Technique only for use of training methods.

(Suimen Hokō no Gyō) - Water Surface Walking Practice
Rank: E
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 5
Damage points: N/A
Description: This training method is used to gain better chakra control. To do this, the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of the their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. This technique is more difficult to master than the Tree Climbing Practice, because the amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly. This technique becomes second nature to shinobi with more practices.
Note: Technique only for use of training methods.

So there is no confusion, I quote techniques you have learned, while I don't show you the technique you are about to learn because, if I can't describe it well enough for you, then I need to become a better teacher. Remember that you can ask questions about anything at any time, and I'd be willing to answer. Have fun. :D

I will be using my Bio from now on in the training.

Coby was eagerly waiting for Sensei's next instructions after learning to walk on water. He knew the fun had just begun. As Sensei briefly spoke to each student, he created two waves which sent both Coby and Yoshimotu away from him. He then began instructing them for their next exercise. Coby listened to him very attentively. Sensei spoke about Elemental Ninjutsu and Chakra Shape Manipulation. He then told them the first step of their exercise was to make their chakra "one" with water. Coby had a gut feeling he understood what Sensei was exactly talking about. As Sensei finished instructing them, Coby began the exercise.

Alright, The first step is to make my Chakra "one" with the water.I think it means I need to convert my Chakra into water. That's the first thing I need to do if I am ever to learn Water Elemental Ninjutsu. But how do I exactly go about doing it? I should feel the water first. Visualize it. Coby closed his eyes and while maintaining Chakra necessary to keep him standing on water, he focused more chakra into the water through his feet for this new exercise. He closed his eyes and thought about a waterfall. He visualised it. He visualised how the water looked. how it flowed. He tried to feel how it felt to touch the water. He tried to feel the water's chill. He then shifted his entire focus on the newly gathered around his feet and connect the two thoughts. He could feel something happening to his Chakra. It had become somewhat fluid and transparent. But it was not exactly like water. He focused on his Chakra harder and ran through the entire scene about water he had just visualized, this time focusing on both the somewhat fluid chakra below his feet and on the mental picture of water. After about 5 mins he could feel his Chakra hard turned into water. To the naked eye, there would be no difference but Coby knew perfectly well how much water below his feet was made up of his own Chakra. Guess the step one is over. Now to step two. Coby told himself. He then imagined a rectangle of his own size in front of him. He took a deep breath and continued to focus on his newly formed Water Chakra. He tried to mentally connect the picture of the rectangle and his water chakra by imagining a rectangular wall made of water standing in front of him. He focused harder on the picture and tried to visualize it with more clarity in his mind. As the image became crystal clear in his mind, the water made of his own chakra began to rise in front of him. It rose upto his waist and stopped. Plus it wasn't exactly rectangular and had blunt edges. Coby knew he was half way through the shield making exercise. He looked at his construction and mentally pictured the rectangular water wall again and again. He focused some more chakra on the water through his feet and made it "one" with water. The water in front of him rose to his own height and was as wide as him. It was still not perfect shape wise. Coby was almost there. Some more efforts on his part and he would achieve both nature and shape manipulation. Coby looked at his construction again and focused hard on it in order to bring it in sync with his mental picture of the rectangular water shield. The wall began to get more like his mental picture of the shield each passing moment and finally after about five minutes there stood a rectangular water shield in front of Coby. Yes! Sensei I made it!

After listening to his sensei's words and advice, all while standing on water, Yoshimitsu knew what to do. His sensei had given him such a clear image on how to do his request. This would be a piece of cake!

Yoshimitsu was standing on the water, feet shoulder width apart and arms crossed. He was still maintaining the chakra in the soles of his feet to stay on the water, and trying to do his first jutsu would be tougher than first expected, but still do able. To concentrate even more, Yoshimitsu closed his eyes and formed the tiger hand seal. While having the more physical chakra holding him up, Yoshimitsu sends a less physical chakra; more like an extension of himself in the water. Doing so, Yoshimitsu felt calm. Not only calm, but he felt cool, like the water he was standing on. With the extension of himself in the water, he focused on the chakra in the water to come up above the lake, just a little at a time. One inch, two inches, three inches, four inches. Inch by inch the chakra infused water came up above the peak of the lake. Enthusiastically, Yoshimitsu shouted. Well, that part seemed easy! Just as he lost focus on his chakra, the water he was holding up above the lake fell as well as himself. Yoshimitsu reacted by focusing physical chakra into his hands that caught himself before he went all the way under, and grunted to himself. It's always got to be something... Yoshimitsu climbs up, and focuses the physical chakra on every body part that was above the lake until he was standing on the lake again, then just left the chakra flow to the soles of his feet to keep him standing. Back to square one I suppose. Yoshimitsu re-focused the less physical chakra into the water through his feet and willed it up above the lake in the same manner as before. He felt the same calming and cooling sensation as before, most likely coming from the Suiton chakra. When the water was completely above the lake by about a foot, he stopped and started picturing a shield in his mind. Shape manipulation....shape manipulation...shields...shields... After about five minutes of focusing on shape manipulation, Yoshimitsu somehow had formed a very thin triangular shield. This is not exactly what I was wanting.... He had quit thinking about shape manipulation and the water re-formed into it's watery self. This time, I will get it. I need to think more descriptively! I want a square water shield...maybe 1 meter by 1 meter? That would be nice and simple! As Yoshimitsu had thought about that in his mind, the water started thinning out. It eventually formed four 90 degree angles at it's tips, with parallel sides. It....it is beautiful!

Glancing towards both of his students, keeping his hands up in the position he held previously, Mystogan began to speak, without any motion aside from his eye's movement.
Excellent, it would appear that you've each grown to learn Shape Manipulation, as well as an Elemental Nature. Just as I expected, it wasn't too much. But now I want you to to use this same technique in different ways from what you just did. One way is to force the water around you into a small sphere, propelling it forward and creating a "blast", if you want to call it that, of water. The second way is to create a wave, which is to crash down on top of me.
Well? Oh, and don't worry about harming me. We are shinobi; we are trained to fight and kill for what we need to protect. With that said, coming at me with attacks as if you were to kill me if the best way to find that your chakra truly becomes an extension of yourself, and acts perfectly as you wish it to. Finally, it is not like people of your skill level can harm me, anyhow...

Oh, and Yoshimitsu. I know that you had a sensei before me, haven't you? If we come to techniques which you have learned before, use this as practice to hone your skills, as well as an opportunity to assist your fellow student. Teamwork is quite important throughout your life, and it is best that you learn now. If you do not find something new to do when I am going over techniques with Coby which you have learned already, then things will becoming irritating for you. Create combinations with other techniques you have learned in order to accent the specific technique I am teaching; ask questions you've had; try new ways to utilize the technique... I don't care. Just find something to fill the time so that I do not feel this is a waste for you.

Coby was excited to use the tech to make different things out of water and his wish was granted when Sensei asked them to use the tech to create something. Coby instantly began wielding his Chakra and imagined what he wanted to create. After about a minute a water made baseball bat rose up from the water on right side of Coby. He took the bat in his right hand and facing Sensei took the position of a batter ready to strike the baseball. Looking at Sensei, Coby smiled and said, Ever played baseball Sensei?! and a water baseball rose from the water in front of Coby which he hit with his batter towards Sensei. Five more baseballs rose in front of Coby one be one which he kept on hitting in Sensei's direction. As expected, Sensei dealt with them effortlessly. Coby then focused on his Chakra once again to make something new. This time four boxing gloves rose out of water. Coby sent them straight at Sensei, again to be effortlessly taken care of by him.

Yes, Adachi sensei was my previous teacher as well as some other sensei, but I believe I could use the extra practice. I will be sure to help out Shouri with anything he needs. None of this will be a waste of time, I promise! After Yoshimitsu reassured his sensei that he would not waste any time during his time here, Yoshimitsu channeled some of his chakra into the lake below him, the medium being his feet. After feeling his chakra inside the lake, he forced the chakra up along with the water that the chakra was imbued into. Once the chakra was one foot above the lake, Yoshimitsu begun thinking about what he wanted the water to become. What should I use my shape manipulation to make? A ball? No thanks. A hammer? Nope. Oh wait, I got it! The water above the lake had started forming into little star looking objects with holes in the center. There were five sharp tips on the stars, each at least two inches away from the center; about four of the stars in total. I hope you can dodge this sensei, otherwise I would be disappointed. U_U Yoshimitsu then extended his ring finger and pointer finger on each hand. Each of the stars' hole found their way on a finger, and then Yoshimitsu flicked his right hand at his sensei, releasing two of the star shuriken at his sensei's right arm and leg, and same with the left hand which threw it's star shuriken at his sensei's left arm and leg.

As the projectiles came towards Mystogan, he simply twitched his ring finger on each hand as he prepared his counter. As the projectiles came near him, Mystogan finally made a significant movement; he turned his upturned, cupped hands while extending his arms, pushing flattened palms outwards towards the water projectiles shot towards him. From each of his palms, Mystogan released blasts of cutting wind which plowed through all of the projectiles moving towards him, turning into a harmless, yet strong wind which passed over his students, no doubt throwing small particles of water into their faces.

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user unleashes a wave of wind that slashes at the opponent by swinging their hand or hands.

That was good; well done.
(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.
Note: Doesn't require a water source but can be used to manipulate existing water.
Now this next technique is less "Shape Manipulation", and more transforming the basic form of the element you are controlling into a separate form. What exactly I mean by this is that you are going to take the large mass of completely liquid water beneath your feet and convert it into small particles of water which hand in the air; mist. Now, this technique is improperly named; what is created is not mist, but fog, the only difference being the thickness of each. The thickness of the "mist" created by this technique is most definitely worthy of the title "fog". But enough on such trivial matters.
Once again, you are to focus your chakra into the water beneath you, all while holding yourself above the water's surface, and cause your chakra to become one with the natural water around you. Then, your chakra will need to begin to separate water particles at the surface of the water; simply allow your chakra to spread out to a great degree without adding any more into the water. This should cause the water to travel with your chakra and become spread out to a high degree. After that, you can raise your spread-out chakra, along with the thin water, into the air, where the air should naturally disperse it into a mist, if the water film is thin enough. Then, you will simply continually draw water into the air to form a thicker and thicker mist.

Also, when you are finished performing the technique, I must be sure of something. It is one thing to perform a jutsu, but it's a completely different thing to actually be able to use a jutsu. Because of this, I will need each of you to describe any create uses or combinations with the technique; while I encourage out-of-the-box thinking, as now is the only acceptable time to be wrong in your usage of a jutsu and as such you can have as elaborate usage as you can come up with, if you can think of nothing then obvious uses are good as well. The second thing I will need are drawbacks; downsides to the technique or simply bad times to use it. Even ways an opponent could counter would be acceptable.

Coby carefully listens to Sensei's instructions about the next technique and begins to perform it once Sensei asks them to start. Coby while maintaining enough Chakra to stand on the lake using Water Surface Walking Technique, gathers more chakra in the water around him. He makes his Chakra one with the water around him and lifts a thin film of the manipulated water, the water particles in the thin film are then separated by the air naturally into mist. The mist is thin and so Coby kneads more Chakra and repeats the entire process and the newly formed mist is thick blocking Coby's view of Sensei and Yoshimotu.

Advantages -

1. Can be used to mask one's presence from the enemy.
2. Can be used to escape.
3. Can be used to kill the enemy taking advantage of the thick mist. Example is Silent Killing Method of Zabuza Momochi of Kirigakure.
4. The user of this jutsu can silently move out of the mist and send a lightning attack at the enemy. The Lightning will hit the enemy harder because of the water content in the mist.

Drawbacks -

1. Useless against Byakugan users and Sensors.
2. Useless if the enemy is agile enough to change position before the user can strike.
3. The user too is vulnerable to lightning attacks whilst standing in the mist.
4. The Mist can be blown away by a Wind Tech of an appropriate rank.

Less shape manipulation? I think I might like this jutsu. So it is actually called the Hidden Mist jutsu, but in reality it is a fog? So weird... After taking everything in on what his sensei says, Yoshimitsu starts gathering chakra. While still having a very physical chakra on his feet holding him up, he lets a less physical chakra go through his feet into the water, much like an extension of himself. The extension of himself starts spreading on the waters surface and separating water particles, while rising into the air. Yoshimitsu's chakra keeps on spreading and spreading until there is a huge fog around his sensei and Coby. This was a very thin mist so Yoshimitsu then again put some chakra onto the surface of the water and repeated the process until the fog was very thick, to where even a sharingan couldn't see through it. Sensei, can you see me?

Advantages:

1. While doing this, you could transform into a rock or a very small insect and stay hidden against a powerful opponent.
2. This prevents any sharingan dojutsu that requires eye contact, or rinnegan sight.
3. Very quick process, no hand seals, and no water source. Not to mention you could create a bunshin and then go under ground and your opponent would believe the bunshin to be you.

Disadvantages:

1. It is so flimsy. Almost any Fuuton can blow it away.
2. A katon could most likely evaporate the mist and then it would be gone.
3. You would need a sensor or originate from Kirigakure for this technique to be useful. Or Byakugan.

That was good, the both of you. It's a shame that I'm the Mizukage, else I would have asked you to sneak up on me as well... Being a Kirigakure ninja, I am immune to tricks such as this, as Yoshimitsu pointed out. If there are no questions, we shall move on.
(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.
For this next technique, I want each of you to draw moisture from the air, which shouldn't be hard given the mist you just created. Using this moisture, I want you to form it into the shape of a blade and attack me. Do not fear my safety, but fear your own. The shape you make must be nearly perfect; sharp, long but not lengthy, and elegant. As we spar, I will test if your sword meets a kenjutsu users standards.
Reaching behind himself, Mystogan removed from its hidden sheath his own katana.
Once again, at the end of your performance, a run-down of the technique you performed will be required, as it will with all up-coming jutsu.

My head...flashbacks!

(Suiton: Mizu Yashiken no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Palm Blade Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will first strike their target with couple of punches and kicks them lifting the target into the air and the user will then concentrate their chakra into their palm and then swinging their arm in a arc they release chakra creating a crescent blade of water that strike the target.

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):
  • 1. This incorporates Taijutsu into the attack, which is my strong suit as a RP'er.
  • 2. This could break multiple bones in your opponents body.
  • 3. Another relatively quick attack.
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):
  • 1. Getting in close range is a *****.
  • 2. If you are bad at Taijutsu, this attack would be hard to describe.
  • 3. I doubt the lethality of the blade of water, which is a shame.
How you would use it in battle: I would throw a flash bang behind my back in mid range which would blind my opponent. I would then sprint to my opponent and use the jutsu.
How would you counter it: Stay in long range, use a genjutsu, Doton: Domu, landscape altering techs, etc.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):

Tobirama sprints to his opponent and gets within one meter of him. Tobirama then uppercuts his opponents right rib cage with his left hand, which cracks multiple ribs. Tobirama then swiftly jabs his opponent multiple times in the face with his right hand, and finally drops on his back and up kicks the clone in the air. As Tobirama does this, he starts to gather some Suiton chakra in his right hand and gets up. He then releases the chakra within his hand as he slashes in a crescent shape, where the chakra forms molecules of water from the air which slash at the clone, poofing him.

What a noob!
Oh...I have a headache now!

Staring at his students, Mystogan pointed towards Coby and focused his suiton charka into the water beneath him. Mystogan then caused the water to swirl around and form a whirlpool which sucked the boy in, sending him to the depths of the water, leaving just Mystogan and Yoshimitsu.

Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: User creates a whirlpool that sucks any opponent in range underwater.
Note: Must be performed on a water source

You are my surviving student. Allow us to kick up training a notch, shall we? C-ranks, you will need to raise your chakra output in order to use these effectively; the Water Walking exercise should be effective for you to know how to adjust your chakra output correctly for such a time as this.
The next three techniques go as follows. Technique the first; a technique which causes water beneath the target to rise up in a pillar or geyser fashion, whichever you prefer. The target does not have to be standing on water, and it is actually more effective if they aren't as it is unexpected. The technique deals no damage, but is simply used to push your opponent off-balance and send him into the air where movement is difficult. Technique the second; after forming the ram handseal, you cause water to condense around your dominate arm. Once again, a water source is not required. Then, you will thrust your arm outwards and release the water as a projectile-bullet, or anything of such properties. The bullet, however, loses power quickly and is only effective if your target is a few feet away, maximum. Technique the third; you manipulate the water beneath your feet to act as a platform which carries your body where ever you wish to go at high speeds. The water may be taken from the ground, and as such you can move without running, and faster than if you were running, and change directions at a moment's notice.
Your task is to use these three techniques, along with any basic taijutsu you wish, in order to attack me. All three techniques must be used, and they must be used effectively in order to move on. You may begin at will.

Yoshimitsu watches as the other teammate disappears in the whirlpool created by Mystogan sensei with just the point of a finger. This guy is stronger than I would have thought... Yoshimitsu listened as his sensei told him to use C-ranks I would need to raise my chakra output compared to D-ranks. He then listened to his sensei describing the techniques that he would use to attack his sensei. Three of the Suiton jutsu...along with any taijutsu I want? This should be pretty simple. Sensei, are you sure you will be ok? Well, on second though, you are you after all. Here I go! Yoshimitsu faces his opponent, his sensei, standing mid range from him. They were both standing on water, and Yoshimitsu knew now was the time to show his worth. Yoshimitsu started gathering a fair amount of chakra and let it flow down his legs. The chakra went all the way across the water and right below Mystogan. Yoshimitsu willed his chakra to suddenly rise with the water. In an instant, a pillar of water was formed under Mystogan's right leg, which would cause Mystogan to tumble down on the water while having a nasty stretch in his groin area. As Mystogan is toppled over on the water, Yoshimitsu quickly channels chakra down on the water beneath the soles of his feet to act as a platform for his feet. With his sensei still down, Yoshimitsu uses these platforms to ski across the water. After gliding across the water going straight forward for five meters, he stops right in front of his sensei, who is on his knee getting up at the moment. To make sure his sensei won't get all the way up, Yoshimitsu takes a south paw stance while his left hand forms a fist and quickly throws his whole body into a punch, and his left hand connects with his sensei's chin, dazing him. While his sensei is back on the water dazed, Yoshimitsu flashes the ram hand seal and water starts forming around his right arm. Staring at his sensei the whole time, Yoshimitsu, who's water coated right arm is about one foot away from Mystogan, thrusts his right arm at his sensei, releasing the water that was coated around his arm into a bullet of sorts that drives his sensei under water with much force. I hope that was up to par, sensei Mystogan.

Just making sure, I can use the water pillar if I am not on a water source, correct?
And how far in meters will the last jutsu be effective? Like, one?

Let me post the techniques you learned; you posted a Tobirama-exclusive when not using that bio.

Allowing his body to move with the pillar, Mystogan rolled along the water's surface, releasing his chakra through the water to keep afloat. Mystogan then pushed himself to one knee, and as the fist was coming in, raised his own arm quickly to deflect the punch to the right side of his face. Then as the water-covered hand came in to attack, Mystogan pointed his left palm to the sky and released a powerful jet upwards to intercept the attack.

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: the user will produce a fairly powerful jet of water from the user's hand.

That looked good. And, also, it was an expected combination. You cannot breach my defenses with such an average usage of techniques. As for your questions, you do not have to be on water, and you would want to be close... Probably a maximum of a foot away when shooting off the attack. In meters, that's about a third of a meter. It loses lots of power quickly as it travels through the air.

Here are your next two techniques. The first is similar to a Water Whip technique you should have already learned, only expelled through the mouth. After that, you are going to condense the moisture in the air to create bullets of water to shoot out in whatever direction you wish at great speeds. Now, your challenge for these jutsu...

...will be to strike me with both of them before I land on the ground. You may begin.

Yoshimitsu looked at his sensei whilst listening to Mystigun answer his questions, and telling him the good and bad parts of Yoshimitsu's move. While most of the feedback was good, Yoshimitsu did feel a little disappointed in his moves as did his sensei. This lit a fire under Yoshimitsu, figuratively of course. I will try to be more....unique with my moves from now on, and not so average. I will strive for perfection. When Yoshimitsu got done with his motivational talk to himself, his sensei started speaking of the next challenge. The sensei explained that Yoshimitsu needed to hit his sensei with both attacks before Mystigun landed on the ground. This might be tough. I am going to have to lead my target with the water bullet...and the whip will be a little tougher to hit him with than the bullets.

Crap, got to go. Editing tomorrow!

I am going to have to lead my target with the water bullet...and the whip will be a little tougher to hit him with than the bullets. As Yoshimitsu witnessed his sensei ascend into the sky onto the water pillar, pushing Mystigun into the air, Yoshimitsu started channeling chakra through his stomach up to his mouth. He put his right hand by his mouth to grab the water he was expelling out and used shape manipulation to form the water into a whip. As Yoshimitsu locked onto Mystigun-sensei, he quickly darted forward to where the whip could reach his superior. When he was in range, Yoshimitsu quickly flicked his wrist and the whip came lashing out at an angle to where it would meet his sensei whilst he was descending from the drop. With no more time to waste, Yoshimitsu started channeling his chakra just outside his body into the water vapor in the air while dropping his whip. He willed the vapor the form into tiny water bullets as he swung his right hand at his sensei who was now a mere couple feet from touching the lake. As Yoshimitsu swung his hand, the tiny water projectiles flew at ludicrous speeds towards the descending Mystigun. Before Yoshimitsu knew it, splashes all around the lake had been made. Yoshimitsu assumed some of the splashes to be caused from two or three of the projectiles he made, but he was not sure if his sensei got hit with one. Mystigun-sensei! Did any of the projectiles hit you? Yoshimitsu waited patiently for his answer.

I believe I asked you to let me post your techniques. Only post if you're using a technique you've already learned (whether water or otherwise) in your move.

While in the air, Mystogan allowed his back to be to the ground until he heard the water below splashing and rippling; his student was running. Twisting mid-air to face the ground, Mystogan could see the water whip being formed, and then "flicked" his direction. As the whip neared, Mystogan simply pulled his katana from the hidden sheath and sliced clean through the water, leaving a whip connected to his student's hand which was too short to reach him.

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage: 25
Description: The user slashes forwards in front of them with their sword to strike the enemy target.
Note: Can only be used by a Cloud Member bio or be trained by one.

Then as Mystogan began his descent, he saw his student swinging his hand. From his hand, several small projectiles were coming towards him. Simply turning his back, Mystogan allowed the projectiles to his his cloak, thus softening the impact before it made it to him. Still enough to bruise, Mystogan landed on the water with a one-handed hand stand before flipping himself into a standing position.

I am fine. Now, about those techniques; what can you think of them? The water whip is easy, we've already gone through that one, but of the Showers technique. This just is very versatile, and can be quite lethal against those without the proper precautions. Realistically, how do you see yourself using this in battle. Even if you can only come up with a very specific situation, I'd like you to describe it for me. And then why you would use it like that. We are done the C-ranks right now, so I'd like to get this through before we move on.

I have a tenancy to stretch abilities during training. I wouldn't normally use a Nekura cloak to defend from that, but since it's just training I figured "why not?"

I cannot believe I missed that. Sorry Dork. >_>

Well the water whip was easy, but you disposed of it so easily. Now the showers technique, it was great. I can see myself using this if my opponent is in mid air, where my opponent shouldn't be able to dispose of it easily. I would also spread out the bullets to where even if somehow the did move from their position, at least one of the bullets would hit them and throw off their concentration. But for a very specific situation, I would love to use this to distract my opponent and then attacking from the below with an earth jutsu of some sort. I really doubt they would be able to dodge both, but not are all skilled as you. I would again use the bullets to attack from their front to take the focus off the ground, then maybe use the stone spikes jutsu since it is also quick and deadly. I really seem to like that combo sensei.

Skilled. <.< I can't even read jutsu restrictions. @_@

Good. Now, for these next three techniques, you'll have to use one to defend yourself, one to distract me, and then the third to attack. So allow me to describe them, in no particular order.
The first technique uses the Boar → Dog → Ram handseals, and then you condense moisture on your palm as you point it at the desired target. From there, using your Suiton chakra, you will expand the moisture and create a churning vortex of water which blasts outwards like a cannon.
The second uses the Ox → Monkey → Hare → Rat → Boar → Bird → Ox → Horse → Bird → Rat → Tiger → Dog → Tiger → Snake → Ox → Ram → Snake → Boar → Ram → Rat → Yang Water → Monkey → Bird → Dragon → Bird → Ox → Horse → Ram → Tiger → Snake → Rat → Monkey → Hare → Boar → Dragon → Ram → Rat → Ox → Monkey → Bird → Yang Water → Rat → Boar → Bird handseals, and is followed by you focusing your chakra into the water and molding it into the shape of a large dragon. Actually, I suppose you're molding chakra as you're making handseals, but that's not the point. This large dragon can then be manipulated at will by yourself, causing it to move and strike as you please.
The third technique uses the Tiger handseal, and from there you condense moisture in your immediate vicinity in order to create a sphere of water. From there, you will cause several whips of water to branch out from the orb, and move as you please, though primarily to attack.
I would tell you to take your time, but defending doesn't work like that. Now, when you are done with the technique usages, please describe for me ways that you can see yourself using it, especially unconventional ways, and drawbacks you can immediately see to the techniques themselves.

Mystogan then lowered his mask and exhaled a powerful ball of fire towards his student, awaiting his response.
