WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD
First of all, about 2/3 of the way through the movie, I was convinced Rey was Luke's daughter. However, its never stated in the movie, although they seem to lay it on pretty thick toward the end.
Do you believe she's Luke daughter?
Second, I found the portrayal of Snoke to be quite strange. Is he really that giant, or was the projection of him enlarged? Previous adaptations of projections range from much smaller, to full size, to larger. However, in versions of larger projections, it was never shown to be full body projections.
Examples:
Normal sized projection, full body (in film)
Shrunken projection, full body
Large projection, but not full body
My thought is Snoke is actually that large, what do you think?
Overall, the movie was extremely reminiscent of Episode 4: A New hope. The plot starts with secret plans being hidden in a droid unit. Two or more heroes than take possession of the droid trying to deliver it to safety, which leads them through a desert. Some Darth follower is out to capture the droid and force strangles a couple people along the way. The enemy is housed in some giant, planet-like, space station that gets destroyed before the end of the movie. The only main difference I recall is the new General Tarkin. He, in no way, is subservient to Ren and actually seems his superior.
Do you see the movie as a plot copy of Episode 4 or not?
I'd like to give the movie 3 stars, but I just can't. At best its 5/10 or 2.5 stars. I gotta say Luke and Leia have had better days. We've been spoon fed Harrison Ford's old age with Indiana Jones, but having not seen Hamel and Fisher in any other movies.... they did not age well. Please share your overall thoughts and your answers to these questions, thanks.
