So after reading the latest chapter it has become apparent to me (and probably most of the base) that Obito is no longer what we know as Obito and is more like... Jubito.
My theory is that the Sage of 6 pths himself was actually the Jubi to begin with, taking this information from the wikipedia 'Centuries ago, the sage defeated the most powerful demon in the ninja world, the Ten-Tails, and was praised as a god for the virtue of his victory.' Now as we have seen so far this beast seems to be unbeatable in terms of actual battle. So was this a physical battle, or in-fact a mental battle? A battle of minds for one to overcome the other. It is stated that the Jubi is the progenator of the world or from the wiki ' The Ten-Tails is considered to be the creator of the world, and the herald to its end should it ever be revived.' maybe they were one entity where one would be the good, while the other was the evil. We can see from the latest manga that the Jubi was not in its 'final' form.
As you can see here that hachibi has said that this is complicated but that's not the jubi's final form, perhaps that's because it's final form is the 'sage' body that we usually see. You can see that half of Obito's body is not covered in that strange like pattern because simply Obito's not been fully taken over by the Jubi, look at this page.
Look carefully at what Obito's doing. he's tearing away the part of the Jubi covering the other half of his face, why would he do this unless he himself is trying to fight a power struggle with the Jubi (sage) as he wants to be in control, this is simply another case of Kabutomaru.
You can see here that Obito is losing his power over the jubi (sage) as even he doesn't or is starting to lose himself. Look at the shocked expression on his face when he questions them as they question his reaction.
If you look carefully you can begin to see that the marks on his face are slowly getting closer to his rennigan, getting closer to being able to use his (sage) original jutsu for the Jubi(sage) purposes?
Now compare these 2. Notice any differences between these 2?
And
In this second photo you can clearly see that Obito is absolutely incomplete as you can still see (I have numbered them) that each individual tail is still 'showing' as spikes protruding from his back where'as the sage doesn't have these protrusions. WHy you ask? Because the sage is the Jubi's physical manifestation as a 'human' budy, you can see in this picture that only ha;f his body is covered, why? Because (As I have indicated with arrows,m red being Jubi, blue being Obito) he's trying to fight the Jubi(sage) control over his body to remain 'on top'. Another interesting thing is if you look directly at the rinegan like thing on his back he has a black line stemming from it while the sage does nnit, what this shows is uncertain so I'll just say it's to show that the Jubi(sage) hasn't yet gained full control over his body.
This theory would also explain how the sage got the rinnegan prior to 'defeating' the jubi, the reason simply being because he IS the Jubi as a physical 'human' manifestation of it's mind, one is the mind the other is the body.
From the wiki it states 'Only those who possess the Rinnegan can fully decipher the contents of the tablet, while a reader with a lesser dōjutsu can still partially interpret the information.[8] Some time after creating the tailed beasts, the Sage told them that they would be together even when separated, and that one day they would again be a single entity.' This tells me that the sage(jubi) wanted to be revived and made sure of this by leaving this for his future generation, why you ask? because either he wanted to destroy the world (jubi) or he wanted to save the world (sage) this is backed up by Jiraiya himself as well as the wiki 'According to Jiraiya, the Sage was a monk who appeared long ago in an age of endless war. He was the first to discover the truth of chakra, and with it he tried to lead the world to an era of peace instead of conflict. He travelled across the land, spreading his ideal and religion, the Shinobi Sect (忍宗, Ninshū), which eventually came to be known as ninjutsu. His great deeds and ultimate desire to bring peace to the war-torn world made him widely known as theSaviour of this World (この世の救世主, Kono Yo no Kyūseishu).'
Thank you for reading this long post, what do you think on the matter? What is your opinion?
