He might be able to sense someone at very short range, but he still wont be able to tell who is it. Besides, as I said Sasuke didnt sense him, he heard him.

Keep in mind he is under a genjutsu to protect konoha. If sauske shows the will to harm the villiage to him. Which he likely will, Itachi will be forced to stop him

itachi is moving on is own basically.

when kakashi snuck up and raikiri'd kakuzu , he stated " How? you snuckup behind me and hid your presence"?!"

so there is something like that

and Itachi sensed people with his back turned, and kisame had NO idea sasuke was there.. a giant exclamation mark over his head..

Itachi cannot sense people like the 2nd hokage and Minato could in an area by placing their finger on the ground and this manga proves it.

But plot no jutsu had a part(like always).

Itachi felt sasukes presence twice already... once as a kid, when he was hiding behind the door... his on father a trained ninja couldnt tell someone was spying ..

I think its Panic. Sasuke sensed his brother's chakra and wanted to confirm whether it was really him or an impersonator. He probably doesn't know Kabuto resurrected Edos for the war, but we're only making assumptions here. I think he sensed his brother, and went to confirm, and then freaked out

His mission is to protect Konoha so why would he want to confront Sasuke when he has already said to Naruto that it's his job to deal with him. To be honest, Kabuto is probably a bigger threat to Konoha then Sasuke..

Yeah i remember that but since itachi does'nt want to meet him (he said i leave Sasuke to you to Naruto) he should have tried to avoid him......unless he decided to change his plans or sth now.

And by avoid i mean before Sasuke was in plain sight. And stop using caps rage(screaming), its damn annoying.

I don't see the point in them fighting. What sealing techs do Sasuke have? He will just lose in the end. Then again, Itachi may let him win OR he may pass down the sealing sword and yata mirror to Sasuke.
