Like last week Kishi ended the chapter on a cliffhanger with Naruto and Sasuke about to get blasted into smithereens like last week. Why does he keep doing this we all know Naruto and Sasuke are the main characters so they wont die until the manga ends. So what's the point of ending the chapters like this? Instead of wasting all these panels showing us this one-sided boring fight that we know no one is going to die from. He could be having Obito attack the whole alliance that way someone will actually die. We NEED someone important to die. This is a war. Neji was a minor character who lost his importance to the plot a long time ago. Not to hate on him, I do like Neji but killing was the equivalent of killing Udon. It didn't even strengthen the NaruHina relationship. Which is still one-sided, and probadly always will be. I mean if Naruto isn't over Sakura by now than what makes you think he will ever be?
It pains me so much because he had the perfect opportunity to kill off one of the Kages in the Madara fight but chose not to for some weird reason. What are the Kages going to do on the battlefield when they couldn't even stop Madara? So what makes you think they can stop Juubito and Madara? At this point they would just be getting in the way. Speaking of getting in the way, this is another thing I don't like about Kishi's writing. He constantly states that the new generation surpasses the old, but whenever there is a threat if your part of the new generation and aren't Naruto or Sasuke than your useless against any of the villains. Let the past stay in the past. The old generation has already got their time to shine. Let the youngsters save the world.
He also had another chance to kill someone important off in the Obito vs Kakashi fight. Instead he nerfs him down to where a fodder could beat him. Not only would this be the death of a very important character but also would serve as a Moral Event Horizon moment to show just how ****ed up Obito's mindset has become. Imagine if Naruto and Minato were fighting the Juubi and than all of the sudden Obito warps in the battlefield with Kakashi's head in his hands. This would be a good representation of how ****ed up Obito's mindset has become in both In-Universe and to the fanbase. That he just killed the only person still alive that cared about him.
Oh well. I remember when I first started reading the Manga back when Madara was revealed which is where the Anime is at right now. I was so excited about the reveal and at all the godlike stuff Madara was doing. I thought for sure when he pulled that meteor out of the sky that SOMEONE was going to die. When Onoki stopped it I was like oh well maybe Kishi is planning on saving the deaths for later but it just went downhill from there.........Now I see that Naruto is the kind of anime where no one [of any importance] dies. Rant over.
