Kylo Ren is like Itachi! I feel like he's only growing closer to the Darkside to help defeat Snoke. He's very conflicted and we can obviously see that in the movie.

Kylo Ren idolizes his grandfather, Lord Vader, and wants to finish what he started. Don't you think he would have heard of Vader defeating Darth Sidious? That Vader was in fact the one who actually put an end to the Sith Lord? So maybe he wants to finish what he started and follow his footsteps by defeating Snoke.

May sound crazy, but that's what I think. What do you guys think?

Nah, the things I liked about Ben is that he's clearly an unstable wannabe.

Like the fact that he wobbles when he walks, throws temper tantrums, the way he looks like a lost child trying to play Darth Vader- I think it makes him much more vulnerable and interesting than Itachi.

Clearly he's unstable, but I think it's because he feels like he can't fully commit to the Darkside. He still grasps onto the light inside of him and that's conflicting him. How will he be able to deceive Snoke if he cannot fully commit? That's why I believe he's like that.

There's an interesting theory on Reddit that I read about him being a good guy. That's why I compared him to Itachi. Oh, and I loved those tantrums he threw! You should check the theory out!

I just feel like Itachi was made out to be wise messiah all-knowing for some reason whilst Ben is a try-hard child. Both badass in their own right, but at no point in this film did I feel like Kylo was in control of anything.

Might be true, but like someone else said in this thread; he's basically a 'lost' child. I don't think he would kill his own father if that was the case.

Kylo was a badass I think Snoke is Darth Plageis.

I mean the films are literally following the EU when it comes to Han/Leia's son and stuff, so why not go all out.
He may be. I mean, he has scars and looks like him a bit. They do seem to be taking the EU route.

We'll have to find out. Poor Ben.

If anything Kylo reminds me of Obito. Both characters have conflicting interests within themselves and they don't know what the "right" thing to do is. They both hide behind a mask to hide that weakness (Vader only wore one cause of his damaged face). And they aren't sure about whether or not what they are doing is right. But we have yet to see Kylo's backstory so it could be different.

He was actually fairly talented- it's more BS that Finn stayed in the game as long as he did & Rey was so good (without explanation)
To me it looked like he was more gifted in the force than LS combat. You could contribute this to there not actually being anyone for him to actually fight saber to saber with till now.

Kylo killed his father from hatred. Itachi killed him to keep peace. Itachi in a sense was never a villain while kylo turned to a bigger one in ep 7

Kylo doesn't really seem like itachi....he doesn't seem to have a hidden agenda for the greater good....but he was still a bada$$(as long as he had that mask on)....imo the actor looks way more threatening with a beard....that's how I saw him the first time in a pic and that's what I expected

Good theory but I think Kylo is evil but he still has good in him. I believe he was about to go to the good side with Han but the Star's disappearance convinced him it's too late.
