People in this thread are literally expecting character development for everyone in the span of 16 chapters.

Iirc Shinki was also mad/jealous of Boruto because he "beat" an OP opponent that should have killed them and Gaara was like that's my fault. That's about it lol.
You would think her having ninjutsu knowledge would make her able to be proficient in ninjutsu especially with Kishi saying she inherited Sasuke's talent who was a ninjutsu genius.
Being like Itachi wouldn't be so bad either tho even tho he use nothing but genjutsu unless it's necessary.
Bet he fight just like Naruto. Kage bunshins Rasengan and throw in some burning ash maybe.
Although true. It was even in less chapters. Iirc like the 1st 5 or 6 had character development for the whole team(excluding Sakura) while in Boruto there is little to none in all 16(?) chapters unless you're Boruto and Naruto from the spoilers.
Reviewing Logic

I am going to say this quick since I will be busy in a laboratory but Naruto using a ninja tool for the protection of the leaf isn't something absurd.
A) He is the Hokage of the Leaf the main head and defense of the city/nation
B) He is also a Jinjuriki and through the history of the series a jinjuriki was the living weapon of a ninja village
C) Other ninja's even Kages have used respected ninja tools for their said era's the Ninja world is now more developed and has the ability to do mechanical/tech hardware that can mimic certain abilities. (Minato and Tobidara had the FTG Kunais, Hagoromo made sage tools, etc...)
D) Naruto doesn't have an absorbing Ninjitsu ability in his arsenal, unlike Sasuke and Momo with the Rinnegan.
E) They are arming and beefing up against a planetary threat and so like a soldier or a weapon you upgrade and equip the best items for a said scenario.
Anyway this is a reasonable progression which makes sense, unlike the Chunin Exams which is a test to test an individuals physical abilities and natural skills (yes even puppet users use their chakra unlike Kote that is an external chakra source).

Boruto has loads more ground to cover. Part 1 really was about ninja action and at the time kishi hadn't really fleshed the plot out. Boruto on the other hand already introduced an ootsutsuki character and now has a new akatsuki aka kara. Just my opinion but boruto definitely has more time constraints that definitely limit it in terms of giving out character while telling it's story.

It just makes her smart I guess. She hasn't shown proficiency in ninjutsu or elemental ninjutsu. She's prob a genjutsu type with CC
