The latest chapter gave Guy a lot of credit for being able to attack Madara in the manner he did. However, it seems the fanbase has taken the facts a little bit to far and made it into some odd fiction. People are saying that Guy was able to hit Madara several times when he charged at him, this seems to not be the case. Here is the panel where Guy attacks Madara head on:

Now, this panels shows that Guy never managed to hit Madara. You can see it by several things, for starters, Madara is dodging away from Guy. Secondly, his body does not react in the manner that it would if he had been hit anywhere. He also receives no injuries to either his body or clothing, and as we know, someone using the Eight Inner Gates on the level that Guy did have probably more destructive power than Tsunade. Meaning that even if his body wouldn't gain injuries, then his clothing would have and he would have been thrown several meters back. ( Which he weren't as he was dodging. )

Now Guy uses another attack on Madara. Namely the Midday Tiger which Madara is unable to dodge, however he is able to block it. Now you can say that hitting someone that blocks is technically a hit, but that would be stretching it a little if you ask me. ( And it still isn't a direct hit. ) Here is the panels that shows that Madara blocked the Midday Tiger:

As you can see, Madara attacks with his staff. Now its not 100% clear if he actually blocks the attack or completely cancels it. He may cancel it as you see Guy having been punched into the ground by Madara afterwards. ( However it may be from his own attack to. ) Now look at Madara, he still has balance and his still moving perfectly. So he wasn't hit, at least not directly by Guy at all. Now, this is further supported from what Kakashi says here:

Kakashi comments that even Taijutsu won't work against Madara. If Guy had been able to hit, then it would be proof that it would work against him, but since he didn't hit Kakashi says that even Taijutsu won't work. Which Guy corrects him on, and he will now try again using the Eighth Gate of Death . This chapter did prove that Madara is able to keep up with the speed of the Seventh Inner Gate and he has the reaction speed to counter Flying Thunder God shown in his short fight against Tobirama Senju.

I think we can all agree Madara's speed is at the top of all shinobi currently U_U

Also, are you trying to say that eight gates won't affect Madara that he'll deflect any attack Gai sends his way? I didnt quite understand your point

I was more pointing out that the Seventh Gate had no effect on Madara what so ever. Madara even commented on this by saying that Guy/Gai was underestimating him by not using Red Steam . Meaning that Madara sees the Red Steam as a threat, but not a huge one.

Good tho its gai not guy

The translated version of the name is Guy. Both Gai and Guy are correct when talking about this character.

Those shapes I put in red circles are used to indicate impact in manga. Meaning, those show that Gai did hit Madara, at least twice.

Madara didn't get hit, he dodged and blocked Gai's assaults.

Well, it's not like he made many strikes. He went for two, then immediately went for Hirudora.

Or it may simply be him hit in the thousands of rocks in the air from his moments. If Madara was hit a single time, then how do you explain the fact that never received a single injury, nor was he throw backwards from an attack? Someone with Gai's destructive power would have made Madara fly several meters backward, which he didn't.

Because Madara is in Juubi mode? :|

Madara is stronger than Obito though.

Strength doesn't really have anything with it to do, even it was Madara's physical strength that kept him from being flung away then that doesn't make sense. Seeing how when he was "hit" he was in the air, meaning he had nothing to hold him back with. Also in the terms of Juubi powers, Madara is equal to Obito. However, Madara was more powerful prior to becoming the Jin.

The fact remains that Juubi Madara is stronger than Juubi Obito. Therefore, an attack weaker than what sent Obito reeling, as you put it, wouldn't send Madara reeling. And he was standing, not in the air.

yeah but do you think gai hit madara or did he just hit madara`s defense?? like tsunade and A did?

either way gai`s attack landed somewhere on madara and madara couldnt evade all of his punches...that shows gai`s insane speed.however i believe gai only hit madara`s defense like tsunade and A did here

Yeah but we can't deny that those two strikes didn't cause much of trouble for Uchiha Madara, neither he looked tired nor he showed any type of reaction to those two strikes.:p

The most important thing to remember is that since Madara has become the Juubi Jin, he's relaxed a lot more and has let his guard down.

His attitude, body language and speech all shout it, he essentially feels total confidence in his new found power.

Yeah that's what they indicate as well. Though I think it's Madara blocking the attacks rather than him getting hit. In one hand he has the staff behind him (as if he's guarding it) and the other hand looks like it's blocking Gai's last kick before Gai bends down and uses Hirudora. I'd assume that Madara used that same hand to block the first impact.

I think this is again indicating Madara's overconfidence. Madara was pretty much defending himself with one hand and as soon as he saw Hirudora, he starts to use his staff.

I completly agree with all points you made OP ;)

Madara's speed as Ten tails host is completly another level.
