I think this is true. The winner of 90% of battles since the beginning of the war have been faster than their opponents, this has especially been emphasized in most recent fights.

Not always that speed is the key, because if someone like Gaara catch you with a massive of sand around you with no escape ( No, FTG and Kamui ).. Then he can seal you no matter what you do, except for shinobi like 3rd Raikage, Hashirama, Mu otc... In other words, you need power as well. Most people say that a kunai can kill most opponent, imo I agree, however there is no chance by facing such opponents with uniqe abilities. Besides, when you battle, you also need speed right? Well, in that case, you need reaction time to beat your target. Kakashi using chidori without Sharingan as Minato mentioned cannot be used because your opponent can kill you from nowehere.

This.... 3rd Raikage and Ay has those abilities to kill most people, or Minato and Tobirama can kill any opponent as well.

I get the argument about reflexes and durability.
But if you're fast enough they can't react. And even if their durability is high, with enough hits they'll fall.

I agree...every major battle that has happened has always involved opponents with ever-increasing speed. Minato was the fastest, so he beat all of his opponents. Then Naruto became faster, and now Sasuke is even faster. Now he's so fast that even Madara can't touch him. It's mostly about speed in any battle lol

It's very true speed is crucial, but not everything. Case and point Rock Lee vs Gaara. Gaara walked away from that match unharmed, but Lee was barely visible to human eyes.

You need speed, strength, durability, and awareness to win a fight. Just one won't cut it.

What about Madara vs Hashirama, Indra vs Ashura. I saw no speed, just some op mountain busting jutsus. Also in naruto's case he uses trickery like against neji, kiba and zabuza.

That isn't speed which stops time.

And theoretically, yes, if one is moving fast enough with a kunai they can hit it literally hundreds of thousands of times if they like, until it breaks.

And vs enough durability or defence you do what? brake your arms and crash yourself with that speed?
Or regeneration like tsunade or juubi jins?
