So, you've stalked all my trainings on Sound already. I'm sure you know what it is but just to recap, what is Sound and how it is used in the RP?
Damn I legit didnt think that.


Sound is basically the effect that occurs whenever something vibrates and the waves it creates when it moves through the air. There are high frequency, low frequency, and ultra frequency sound waves. To bridge this with the rp, Low frequency is what we would call destructive sound waves. These are able to directly damage and hurt the opponent and move at the speed of an average wind jutsu. High frequency sound and Ultra frequency sound waves move instantly in the rp and can't be used to hurt the opponent directly in any way shape or form. However, it can be used to affect them in all the different ways sound might affect a person or object. For example, it can be used to disorient them by bombarding their inner ear or organs. The difference between High and Ultra frequency though, is that High frequency is able to be heard by humans whereas Ultra cant.

The reason that LF sound waves can destroy stuff is that the lower the frequency, the higher the energy. So UF would actually have alot less energy than LF sound waves, despite moving faster in the rp. Sound can also be used for genjutsu, which would be a HF or UF sound wave due to the fact that it is instant. Sound can be used against the opponent even if they have their ears plugged due to the fact that sound can easily continue moving through solids, liquids, and gases. But since sound is just vibrations through matter, it cant be used in space. So if we get that moon landmark weve been planning, sound is a no go. Uhh oh and sound genjutsu is broken the same way as regular genjutsu, its just pretty much instant and applied through the sound you make contacting the target you want.

Destructive Sound release normally gets stronger when it moves through water. According to the rp, Wind, Earth and Water are strong against it. Not too sure why earth and water are tbh but wind is because it can disrupt the sound waves as they travel.

Ayyy even though I slick did in my last post

Destructive - These can cause physical damage and can directly hurt your opponent. As far as I know they are also visible and move at the speed of an average wind technique.

Hindering- These arent able to damage your opponent whatsoever, but can be used to hinder him. This can be things like affecting balance, their movements, their hearing etc. Anything that pretty much annoys the opponent and hinders or stops him from functioning normally that doesnt hurt him. These are instant btw

Genjutsu- Just like regular genjutsu, this can cause the opponent to see illusions, hear things, and other things normal genjutsu can. These are faster though (but not really) than regular genjutsu because theyre instant. Oh I would guess that these are better than regular genjutsu because you don't actually have to see them to focus on them. The sound wave just has to reach them in some way right?

What is the difference between Ultra, Infra and normal Sound waves?

UF's are not able to be heard by normal human hearing, and like High frequency waves they are low energy. Thus they fall under Hindering or Genjutsu sound waves in most cases. Pretty sure you use these like sonar and stuff like that.

Normal sound waves can be heard by humans and are your run of the mill sound that comes with music and slamming doors and stuff. These are the destructive kind.

Infra sound cant be heard, but its effects can still be felt, just like ultra. But its because its so low, rather than ultra being because its so high

Description: The user will enhance their hearing by infusing his ears with sound chakra. Then, by utilizing chakra and enfacing his lungs, the user will be able to control the frequency and intensity of the sound emitted from his simple breathing. This low frequency, inaudible sound is passively emitted and has no effect other than emerging from him and bouncing off of objects. Using the enhanced hearing, the user is able to know where everything is around them, effectively creating a sonar effect through the rebound and reflection of sound waves. The hearing and the sonar effect is precise enough so that one can effectively use it to substitute one's vision in battle if needed. Despite being very effective, specially if the user has any of his other senses hindered, it also leaves the user vulnerable to sound genjutsu or sound attacks which will be much more drastic in its effects.
Note: Lasts 6 turns

Okay, with this one, you activate it once at the beginning of your turn, and then it lasts until you release it or until 6 turns are over, whichever is shorter. With this, you can periodically get a reading of everything around you, by the sound waves bouncing off of objects and returning back to you. Problem is, if the object is able to absorb the sound waves, you'll get a distorted reading, or no reading at all. If you're relying on this jutsu alone for a way to see, then it's the same as being "blind" higher than mid-range because it will take a bit longer for the waves to bounce back. Granted, this doesnt take a lengthy amount of time but it's something to keep in mind. With that being said, it works marvelously in a mist, or even in a dust screen. It works underground, above ground to sense underground, in forests, inside a room, etc etc. The advanced version that Mugi created is so much better, able to tune out specific sounds as well as hear things as small as ants walking. When it's active, you gain a x2 tracking boost as well.

Lastly, beware of the enhanced sound, as you'd be extra susceptible to loud noises. Similar to how Kiba was extra susceptible to farts.
(Ototon: Chūnyū no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Infusion Technique

Description: A simple technique where the user touches an object and infuses it with sound chakra, enabling it to vibrate and produce a low frequency, high amplitude sound. The vibrations cause objects to bounce off of the targeted object which is highly useful when fighting with weapons or to make thrown basic weapons resist opposing thrown weapons. It also resonates to the user if he were to be blind (because of a genjutsu for example), letting the the user know the objects position and what it deflects. It can also be applied to solid objects or structures the user may wish to destroy or, by applying it to the ground or similar, detect what is around him by making it resonate with the same low frequency. The object gets no added power, only the ability to deflect incoming objects that want to counter it.

You infuse an object with sound chakra which allows it to vibrate and produce a low frequency, high amplitude sound. The vibrations from the sound chakra causes anything that comes in contact with the object to bounce off, so an example would be throwing a kunai and infusing it with the sound chakra, so if an enemy tried countering it with another kunai, that kunai would simply bounce off. It resonates to the user so even if the user were blind, he'd know what was going on (only with that object of course.) This works with anything of equal rank and the size it works with varies on the size of the targeted object. Like a kunai could deflect other weapons but not a gigantic boulder.

(Ototon: Sumakku Te no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Clapping Hands

One of the more basic Sound jutsu, this one plays the basis for a lot of the other ones. You channel Ototon chakra and slam your hands together, releasing a wave that resonates at the same frequency of whatever incoming physical object is approaching. It then causes it to vibrate and shatter. Easy enough to explain, even easier to use.

I'm most likely never using this first one lmao. I mean like one explosive tag and thats it for you. But wait, since this is destructive, it should be instant right? So why would the time it takes to return from Long have much bearing as far as fights go? Or is this more cosmetic than anything? Look at me asking questions about this highly useless jutsu

This is 10x better than the infusion technique. It just sucks because its short. I'll probably be using this alot more tbh

It's because it's essentially a sonar. It has to hit the target and bounce back. Only the activation of this is active.

(Ototon: Oto no Ken) - Sound Release: Sonic Fist

Description: The user gathers chakra either around their fist, arm, or leg and then charges towards their opponent. Upon utilizing an attack involving the aforementioned limb, it causes a release of sonic vibrations (of a low frequency but with a high amplitude) that act as a secondary strike, making the opponent unable to use the body part that has been hit for 1 turn. This happens because the sound vibrations damage soft tissue by resonating within the water molecules that reside within it. The effect is similar to a localized explosion upon contact that rips through the targeted area and creates a shockwave that blasts the target backwards. The skill is exceptionally useful if used against solid techniques such as those from Earth Release (or similar) which will shatter upon being hit.
The vibrations are designed to cause paralysis in the opponent when hit. The vibrations damage the soft tissue by traveling and vibrating through the water molecules in them. Because of this, transforming into water or a similar liquid substance would be rather unwise. The jutsu works so effectively because the sound waves propagates faster through liquids than gases. The wave itself travels through water molecules of the body's tissue, making a shockwave like effect, similar to what the Gyojin are able to produce. Against a liquid, I'd assume the damage would be slightly worse though, a bigger "blast" so to speak, though not to the point where significantly more damage is done, unless they were completely water, like through the usage of Water Replacement or Hydrification.

It affects the targeted area; If I channel my finger tips with this and strike your forearm, it would blast it backwards and damage the entire forearm and make the upper arm less effective as well, slowed shoulder joint movement for example. The effect is capable of effecting any soft tissue areas of the body ( arms, leg, stomach, side, neck, etc ). It can't be used with multiple limbs or blows, just one strike so it's best to aim clearly. I once had the idea to make a Sound based Taijutsu on this, similar to Ty Lee's style of fighting on Avatar, attacking pressure points and joints with fingertips and using Sound chakra to disrupt how their body operates, and limit their overall movements by localized paralyzation and tissue damage.

(Ototon: Hibiki Rendan no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Echo Assault Skill

Despite weakening as it travels, its faster than most wind or lightning techniques and can still be defended from. If used within a water source it receives +20 damage.

Simple, it's much like Clapping Hands jutsu but different in the sense it is released from it's mouth while also gaining strength and speed through a water jutsu.

As he snaps, the sound is amplified, sounding as if it is directly by the enemy's ear. To them, it sounds as if something has just snapped in half. The user then manipulates the illusion to make it appear as if either a large branch has fallen from a tree or the ground under them has broken clean in half, causing the target to believe they are falling through the earth or have been struck with a large object, pushing them to the earth. The user has control over the illusion, being able to make it seem as if entire trees have been snapped in half, falling on the target or as if an earth structure has collapsed either above or beneath the opponent, etc. The illusion can be edited to fit the situation and even the sound can be slightly altered deepening on the object that is "snapped". Is more effective depending upon the terrain this is used in ( extremely effective in a forest, not effective in a desert ).

It's made to be used on the terrain. For example, in Konoha, it would be very useful to make branches sound if they snapped, falling from the sky onto the victim. In Iwa, where trees are sparse, it's best to make the earth under them crack, making them believe they have fallen through the earth. In Suna, it can make it sound as if the earth has also cracked open under the foe, but this sound would sound different as it would be muffled by all of the sand present. This wouldn't be very effective on water surfaces though.

I love this first one. Question, if I use this with another chakraless tai move that does say, 40 damage, does it combine to total 80 damage upon impact? Especially if used against solid defenses. And if used against hydrification, would it actually damage the opponent?

Very basic and simple

This last one has its uses. No real endgame as far as damage goes, but it does make you look cool. So hey, if I use this to make it seem like the opponent fell into a bottomless pit, this genjutsu would last and theyd keep falling until they break it right?

It'd still be 40, this jutsu's damage taking precedence. And it'd blast a Hozuki out of Hydrification mode if struck due to the explosion like effect that would happen.

( Ototon: Teisei Tame Inu) - Sound Release: Whispers to the Canines

Description: The user gathers Ototon chakra in his vocal chords. He then whistles, releasing a high frequency sound wave, creating a sound similar to a faint buzzing in the target's ear, similar to Ringing Madness. However, instead of causing a foe to become disoriented, it impairs his hearing, making the buzzing the only thing that he can hear, seeming as if the target has bees swimming around his ear. The buzzing drowns any sound out, unless they are exceptionally loud (i.e. great explosions, one yelling directly into the target's ear, etc), making it very difficult for the target to hear incoming jutsus or attacks.
Note: Hearing impairment lasts 3 turns

This one is basically Muffliato made into the RP. It causes any foe aimed at to hear the sound of buzzing bees in their ears, blocking the sound of most sounds. Great for RP uses, casting on those around to mask a conversation. Also good to mask sounds of wind jutsu or incoming projectiles the foe cannot see.

(Ototon: Himei Zetsubou no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Scream of Despair Skill

Description: Similar to the (Ototon: Hibiki Rendan no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Echo Assault Skill, the user concentrates chakra into their vocal cords, amplifying his/her voice and lets out a scream, roar or a yell. The effect is a large emission of low frequency, high amplitude sound waves but instead of a forward attack, its manipulated into an omnidirectional sound blast that expands outwards all around the user, pushing attacks and enemies backwards with might.
Very similar to Echo Assault, this one is instead omnidirectional. By simply yelling, you release an omnidirectional burst of Sound that repels anything within short range of you with moderate power.

(Ototon: Shinsei) - Sound Release: Divinity

Description: Focusing sound chakra into ones limbs, the user is able to deliver massive taijutsu attacks that can shatter anything on contact, specially solid defenses. When used directly against an enemy, the blows damage the soft tissues of the target if used with a low frequency sound or the targets bones, if used with a high frequency sound. The vibrations don't produce any external effect, unlike what happens with (Ototon: Oto no Ken) - Sound Release: Sonic Fist technique, instead propagating into whatever is touched through direct contact. The user is free in which moves he will perform and can use virtually any stance he knows. However, because it produces no externalization of the vibrations, as the limbs are only infused with sound chakra and the vibrations happen in what is hit, the user cannot attack or defend from things that would otherwise hurt him like bladed weapons, etc.

This one is basically Muffliato made into the RP. It causes any foe aimed at to hear the sound of buzzing bees in their ears, blocking the sound of most sounds. Great for RP uses, casting on those around to mask a conversation. Also good to mask sounds of wind jutsu or incoming projectiles the foe cannot see.

As the waves continue to hit the target, the vibrations increase and cause internal pain, almost as if each wave is drilling into the target's body, causing the target to also become nauseous from the continuous waves. Despite its danger, the technique can easily be defended by simply severing ones contact with the ground.

Easy to explain, you channel Ototon chakra and run towards a target. As you run, each step releases waves of Sound that collide with the opponent, causing pain to them and preventing them from moving properly due to the vibrations. If this lasts over a turn, it causes 60 damage.

-5 seems negligible but it turns clashes which were previously equal in the user's favour. You wouldn't be able to counter a Forbidden Rank Fire with S-Rank water if this was used on you. The duration is also impressive. The trigger can be anything you want and since it's hindering sound it can't be blocked or countered by most people. The downside to it is that it's rather easy to negate if they cannot hear the sound even though it's a hindering jutsu. It's effects depend on them hearing the sound and then it works.

Fairly simple to understand. You slam your hands together and a loud sound is released, catching all who hear it in muscle paralysis. Note the part that states enemies ear. This targets only those you designate which allows you a lot more freedom in what you can do with this. You become unable to use Sound jutsu for two turns after using it. This is also a hindering jutsu and despite being offensive, doesn't cause damage on a scale that actually causes real harm to them.

Upon facing such pain, the enemy will lose control over his body and spasm as they curl to try and alleviate the pain. The longer the target is caught in the illusion the more severe the effect is. This releases the Sound chakra, and also amplifies the "Stomp", releasing a powerful omni-directional wave of Low Frequency sound through the air, and the ground. This causes an explosion like effect, where the ground cracks open around you up to mid range, and even pushes the air, due to the low frequency sound waves, creating sound like vibrations. This can stop incoming attacks, mostly those of a solid nature, as they are met by the intense sound vibrations, and also deals with people trying to go underground or travelling underground towards your location. Fairly useful if you can sense the opponent moving, and if they use something like Leech All Creation, there's not much they can do against this.

A technique that is a mix of Sonic Fist and Divinity, where you will gather a large amount of Sound chakra into your limbs (legs or arms) and deliver a deadly blow. Now, when this Sound chakra is focused around the limb, an aura of vibrations and destructive low frequency waves cover it, and when the target is hit, its released and ripples through them, causing a powerful short range shockwave upon impact, blasting outwards. This hits the opponent back into Long range, and also creates a crater around you. Highly effective against solid based elements, as well as liquids due to the vibrations that ripple through it. A pretty bad ass last technique of Sound release

A technique that is a mix of Sonic Fist and Divinity, where you will gather a large amount of Sound chakra into your limbs (legs or arms) and deliver a deadly blow. Now, when this Sound chakra is focused around the limb, an aura of vibrations and destructive low frequency waves cover it, and when the target is hit, its released and ripples through them, causing a powerful short range shockwave upon impact, blasting outwards. This hits the opponent back into Long range, and also creates a crater around you. Highly effective against solid based elements, as well as liquids due to the vibrations that ripple through it.
