Anyway, moving on. O_O As you just learned, you can hear the differences between jutsus being used through the different sounds they give off.

(Ototon: Naiteki Ne no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Inner Sonar Skill

Description: The user enhancing their hearing by utilizing chakra and enfusing their sound waves from their mouth. With their breathing sound waves emerge and bounce off of objects having them know wherever everything is around them.


A very very neat jutsu. The only problem I've always had with it is that it sort of looks like a jutsu that constantly uses chakra, meaning you wouldn't be able to use chakra for other techniques. On the other hand, I've also looked at mugi's CJ (which is an "upgraded version of this", though differently) and it seems to be more like a passive ability. So that's an issue (it has never been cleared up, and as you know sound needs revamping. Big time.). Now, let's just assume it's passive, what seem to be the biggest advantages and disadvantages? Think outside of the box for a minute here.
Advantages:
- If you have your sense of sight restricted (Bringer of Darkness), you can use this technique as a way to "see" the battlefield, so to speak.
- Doesn't have a turn limit, so once used it would last until the match ended
- Passive ;)

Disadvantages:
- The technique's range says mid, so anything longer than that from you would go undetected.
- If you were in a genjutsu where it locked your throat, or stopped your breathing, then you couldn't release the sound-waves needed?

All true and well noted, though you missed the biggest drawback: Due to your now amplified sense of hearing, you are able to hear every sound louder, this means harmful sounds as well, such as explosions. These sounds can cause slight damage to your inner ear and equilibrium, messing with your sense of balance.

Also, what do you think happens if a jutsu is used that sound is weak against while this is in use? What about one that it is strong against?

Could the opponent's technique somehow absorb or stop the soundwaves from returning to you?

Description: The user charges chakra into the palms of there hands, and then smash them together. The force creates chakra infused sound waves which can be used to disperse oncoming jutsu(only works on C-Rank or below jutsu).
Note: Travels at 450 speed

Now for this jutsu, it's fairly simple again. Smash your palms together with ototon chakra and that will create a sound wave. It can disperse incoming jutsus up to C-rank, including wind techniques ones. Pretty simple and straightforward (and one of the faster sound techniques), yet not really helpful as people hardly use C-rank ranged ninjutsus nowadays.

I focus lightning, and then add wind chakra to both of my palms, building it up until my hands are resonating at high speeds due to the intense soundwaves being produced. I then extend my arms outwards, while I clap my hands together. When my hands connect, it releases a quick burst of sound waves, which rapidly travel throughout the training ground in front of me.

Description: The user gathers chakra either around their fist, arm, or leg and then charge towards their opponent. With that area of their body having that chakra infused with it upon utilizing an attack with either of those areas it causes a release of sonic vibrations that act as a secondary blow.that makes the opponent unable to use what ever body part is hit for 1 turn.Even if the opponent manages to evade, chances are they still will be hit by the sonic release.If thats the case this jutsus damage is halved.
Note: Travels at 395 speed

Pretty straightforward, but needs revamping in my opinion-specifically the speed parts, you channel sound chakra around a limb that you attack with. Upon striking them, you release the sound chakra, causing the sound waves to resonate and vibrate amongst the body, effecting negating usage of that limb. I saw that Wes had already started talking about the altering of effects in certain sound jutsu. We think it's also possible here; as it doesn't say what particular effect, only that the afflicted limb will be unusable for a turn, we can assume that the effect must be of a limiting effect. Normally, I'd say that would be only low frequency soundwaves, but as the waves themself cause damage, it's safe to assume it can be low or high frequency (I don't know if Wes described Sound like this, but I generally look at it as low frequency waves = hindering and genjutsu related and high frequency = damaging and damaging/hindering waves).

Now, if you utilize low frequency waves, you are able to negate movement of the limb through vibrations that resonate and make movement impossible. OR, which I find equally satisfying, you can negate usage of the limb through the usage of high frequencies, in other words, through causing pain via vibrating sound waves. Granted, the pain won't be high unless direct contact is made through a taijutsu blow first, but the pain afflicted will be enough to cause the limb to be unable to move. Questions?

1. Is this technique capable of rendering a summon useless for a short time? Say you release the sound waves into a summon's head with this, and the summoned animal is roughly the size of Gamakichi (for reference).
