Something Sasuke said in this chapter was familiar to me, and I found it kind of odd/interesting. Now, after thinking about it a little more, I believe that those words might be the key to Sasuke’s 'conversion’.
Sasuke believes that a Hokage is someone who can make decisions entirely on their own, someone who is willing to sacrifice anything to do what needs to be done. As Hokage, he intends to be a martyr, to direct everyone’s hatred at himself because he thinks that he can live with it, since he supposedly has nothing left anyway.
Wait a minute, that sounds familiar. Where have we seen that before? Let me take you all the way back to Team 7’s little reunion, right after Danzo’s death. Sasuke and Naruto had a brief exchange of fists (the significance of which is elaborated on
Well, well, well. How interesting. What does it mean though? I’m not 100% sure. I thought I had a pretty good idea, but I lost it while I was typing. ****.
Oh yeah, this isn’t the idea, but it was on my mind: Sasuke would actually be creating hatred if he went through with his plan. He has to give people a reason to hate him. But he says he’s creating peace…That makes me think that he just wants people to hate him for the sake of being hated. Pretty emo tbh. Also, it should be noted that Sasuke’s words in this chapter imply that he has never cared for anyone other than Naruto. So don’t get your hopes up, relationship people. lol.
Anyway, I’m not thinking very well at the moment. I had more to say about why Sasuke would want to be hated and all that shit (plus the idea that I forgot while I was typing), but it’s gone now. Sorry.
Hopefully you guys can form and articulate more coherent thoughts than me.

), and then Naruto proceeds to give Sasuke the best TNJ I have ever seen tbh. **** all that though. Towards the end of the lecture, Naruto says this to Sasuke:
