Something Sasuke said in this chapter was familiar to me, and I found it kind of odd/interesting. Now, after thinking about it a little more, I believe that those words might be the key to Sasuke’s 'conversion’.

Sasuke believes that a Hokage is someone who can make decisions entirely on their own, someone who is willing to sacrifice anything to do what needs to be done. As Hokage, he intends to be a martyr, to direct everyone’s hatred at himself because he thinks that he can live with it, since he supposedly has nothing left anyway.

Wait a minute, that sounds familiar. Where have we seen that before? Let me take you all the way back to Team 7’s little reunion, right after Danzo’s death. Sasuke and Naruto had a brief exchange of fists (the significance of which is elaborated on ), and then Naruto proceeds to give Sasuke the best TNJ I have ever seen tbh. **** all that though. Towards the end of the lecture, Naruto says this to Sasuke:

Well, well, well. How interesting. What does it mean though? I’m not 100% sure. I thought I had a pretty good idea, but I lost it while I was typing. ****.

Oh yeah, this isn’t the idea, but it was on my mind: Sasuke would actually be creating hatred if he went through with his plan. He has to give people a reason to hate him. But he says he’s creating peace…That makes me think that he just wants people to hate him for the sake of being hated. Pretty emo tbh. Also, it should be noted that Sasuke’s words in this chapter imply that he has never cared for anyone other than Naruto. So don’t get your hopes up, relationship people. lol.

Anyway, I’m not thinking very well at the moment. I had more to say about why Sasuke would want to be hated and all that shit (plus the idea that I forgot while I was typing), but it’s gone now. Sorry.

Hopefully you guys can form and articulate more coherent thoughts than me. :(

Obviously the same (on the surface). The difference is how they want to go about it. Suckske wants to be a dictator to call all the shots as HE sees fit, as if he is infallible. That is the polar opposite to Naruto, which you can tell by the well placed flashbacks to conversations with Itachi.

Sasuke is being the opposite of Adolf Hitler instead of blaming another race for the problems so people can be united and have a common enemy he blames himself.
... This ...

Sausuke nvr said he will create peace.
He said he will create a stable system and stable system is not equal to peace :coffee:

^Yeah that's what I was saying. Sasuke is trying to force himself to be a martyr (somewhat similar to what Naruto did before he had any friends tbh). He thinks that he has to save people from themselves because they are incapable of coexisting on their own...I had something else to say but I just forgot it. Today is a bad day :(

It seems like he just wants to be exactly like Itachi. I'm pretty sure that Sasuke has recognized that Naruto is very capable of creating peace. In fact, he acknowledged it in this chapter. He's just that scared of losing everything I guess. He's going to take it away from himself lol.

I have no idea that can function properly .... A system where the greatest common public enemy/hated-indivisual cant really cant be the all powerful leader cant even function, how can he make people listen if he is hated? It is bound to incite a rebellion and more bloodshed.

The difference in the two "bear all the hate" speeches is that Naruto is absorbing hate that already exists and Sasuke is creating it for the purpose of absorbing it.

Yea he thinks he can shoulder the hate of the entire world by himself in an effort to unite the villages. Kinda the same mindset naruto had but on a global level. So basically it's a battle between love and hate.
