Well yh I don't think anyone will forgive him but for the reasons I have stated in the OP I believe he will turn good and have a good death at the end. Which will make people feel sorry or redemption for him in the end.

Basically I can't imagine kishi letting the person he gave such a power quote die a horrible death being evil.

We can tell Kishi likes the character obito a lot to give him such a role in the manga and with the the way he set him out in the beginning shows that Obito will have a nagato moment.

I think he will give his life up and maybe trap the evil madara in his dimension and maybe close it for good.

Yh but Naruto's mission was to stop Obito that's why his dad put the nine tails inside of him. So in a way Naruto would be accomplishing his mission and Obito would be the bringer of destruction as Minato said.

It would be a nice finish for obito and naruto ha part in it plus there is sasuke and oro to deal with after which Naruto can do.

But yh the last line doesn't have to happen

naruto's destiny isn't just to stop obito, but to save the world and just stopping obito ISN'T SAVING THE WORLD! he has to do much more.... to change people's hearts teach them about forgiveness!

I actually think sasuke will be the only villain to turn good in the end and survive, I don't think Naruto will kill him. He will find a way, somehow..

no not a horrible death but a sad and touching one, the anime is gonna extend this sh!t out trust me its gonna make this the sadest ever they eat up emotional crap from anruto and use it for money they will have kakashi being all sad and when obito dies i bet you its more touching then the third hokages death, but of course obitos death would be simialr to hirukos ( moive) where he doesn't relise it it till the very end.
