Basically I can't imagine kishi letting the person he gave such a power quote die a horrible death being evil.

We can tell Kishi likes the character obito a lot to give him such a role in the manga and with the the way he set him out in the beginning shows that Obito will have a nagato moment.

I think he will give his life up and maybe trap the evil madara in his dimension and maybe close it for good.

Yh but Naruto's mission was to stop Obito that's why his dad put the nine tails inside of him. So in a way Naruto would be accomplishing his mission and Obito would be the bringer of destruction as Minato said.

It would be a nice finish for obito and naruto ha part in it plus there is sasuke and oro to deal with after which Naruto can do.

But yh the last line doesn't have to happen
