This is an interesting thread with a lot of well constructed arguments, and it's definitely a subject I think about often. Obviously, the answer to this question is highly subjective, and I don't believe there is a single right answer. I like reading everyone's opinion on the matter, though, and I hope this discussion goes on.
...what's the point of this thread? Thieving, murdering, raping and conning are not allowed by the law, now should we invalidate those laws because people still do them? Obviously not. So where you are going with this thread is beyond me.
Also if someone makes a troll forum, ironically enough you can't troll it as it's allowed. It's a paradox, it really has absolutely nothing to do with being boring, it simply can not be done. Seriously what are you thinking? It doesn't even make sense what you say.
Also stop glorifying and idealizing trolling like it's some kind of a nobel thing. Don't fool yourself, it has nothing to do with seriousness. If that would be the case, I'm going to laugh my ass off when I think about the thousands of Naruto vs Sasuke threads that ended in turmoil because people lacked the seriousness. Let me burst your bubble, it's the exact opposite. Trolling doesn't have any value and whatever it has it derives it from the naivety, stupidity and immaturity of people. Trolls are egotistical attention seekers who merely want to cause a ruckus, which works the best when there is a large group of people that has a moderate to low intelligence, making them easily affected.

For example, if i were to post my ridiculous theories making hundreds of threads using terrible evidence, that would be trolling. But if i only made a few threads, highlighting my new evidence to support my theories, that wouldn't be trolling.
