Sony Vegas Pro 11 problem

So, I have Sony Vegas Pro 11.0 for about a month now (got it from a friend) but now I have problems to start it up, I can click the butten in the Start Menu and 100 times, but nothing happens. I tried to open a previous .veg file (the one vegas safes your work in) but that didn't help either.

Does anyone have an idea how to get my Vegas started anyway?

Completely uninstall it. After uninstall delete the Vegas Pro directory in drive C. Restart your computer and install it again.

I restarted my computer several times, and I tried running it as an administrator. I haven't tried to uninstall and install in again...
