Sometimes i feel like a bad person

I work as a lifeguard at my local waterpark and for some reason people have been drowning more and more (i dont mean dead i just mean they are in the process of it). Anyways, Recentley i jumped in to save a small girl and before i jumped in the first thought that came to my mind my mind wasn't "I've got to help them!" it was more of an annoyed "Son of a *****..." I just thought id share this somewhat comedic moment.

I was a lifeguard one summer at the YMCA in high school and this little kid kept running around the pool after I told him to stop. So I hid behind one of the pool chairs and popped out and nailed him in the face with a beach ball when he ran past me and he fell into the pool.

It was hilarious. I've heard from other employees at the time of kids that died at the pool. Like it wasn't on the news or anything, I hadn't heard of it before.

That job sucks though, you should try and find another.

Nah, it's not being a bad person. I do the same, it's like sick humor in a way. They had some kid cut his knee open (it was an old scab) at my work the other day and he started bleeding like crazy. And before I got the first aid kit for his mom and him, I just thought "Damn, if this kid somehow died of blood loss, I probably wouldn't have to work tomorrow." But I never mean it and then I do the right thing. You'd be a bad person if you kept your son of a bish thought and just camped on your chair. You were just being comedic, just in a different and twisted manner Lol

Maybe you're just burnt out. That doesn't make you a bad person. But if you refused to help and just let the kid drowned, that would.

I worked Drive Thru in fast food for over a year. Originally it was alright, but after awhile, I was all like, "Screw off you fatties!" in my head every time someone came through, which was a lot. It was a very busy place.

Did I feel bad? Kinda. Now it's awkward going through fast food cause I know some other poor sob will be thinking the same thing I thought.
