Nope. It's called taking it to extremes. Imagine me going around new york chasing a girl that'd dropped out of high school. I follow her into the mall, when she walks out of the bathroom, and outside of her house. Not to mention my days are spent on my bed thinking about ways I can get her back into school and it gets to the point where I can no longer function in school because. My excuse is because we are friends.

There's a point where it is believable, then there's a point where it is just ridiculous and kishi has crossed that line. I have a friend that I've known since 8th grade. Because my dad was in the military, I had to move around, but I still kept in contact with my homie. Me and this guy are like best friends, like we laugh all the time and shit. What people don't realize is that naruto also has a flaw. He needs to step back and let /allow people to pave their own path, and sometimes it has to be independent of yours. Another example, is that I really liked this girl in the grade, but she moved to another town. At first we were going to try long distance but eventually we came to understand that we have to move on, and follow our own paths. It hurts, but sometimes, bonds have to be severed. make no mistake, the bonds with my friends that I made are for ever, but the bond of seeing some of them will no longer be there.
Naruto must learn that sasuke can only decide what is best for himself. That's what itachi realized and told sasuke before he left. He didn't trust him to make the right decisions in his life, he always tried to protect him and it hindered his development as a man. In the end, naruto cannot "save saske" because you can only save yourself. Sasuke has to save himself from "sasuke". Only then can a permanent change take place.
In conclusion, I do think it is defiantly overreacted. If someone I know clearly doesn't want help, you've got to respect that because you can't let them drag you into a depressed state. There's a difference between being faithful and being excessive. Naruto cares for sasuke but he's only pushing sasuke further away.
