those rings have nothing to do with anything its just a design the manga uses. orochimaru has the same earrings as itachi susanoo that doesnt mean anything. and the original sage of 6 paths has the same rings around his neck just like naruto.

In response to the very first post. The earring/necklace are made up of Magatama, you can look up what they are. they are common in Japanese things, ever seen Ikki Tousen? all the warriors wear Magatama earrings. Rikudo-Sage's necklace is what Naruto's Kyuubi-mode black-necklace thingy looks like, i'm sure the only connection is in the seal for the Kyuubi/kyuubi chakra. When naruto's in kyuubi-mode, the black designs on him are part of the seal, nothing else. Naruto's black necklace and Rikudo's necklace are connected by the kyuubi and the kyuubi's chakra. when Naruto finally takes control of the chakra, the Kyuubi itself is Sealed by Rikudo's seal, the fox actually says that it's the S06P seal, so that's why Naruto's seal appears that way--with a design similar to Rikudo's necklace--when he's in Kyuubi mode. the necklace has nothing to do with Itachi or Susanoo.
And Itachi's Susanoo's weapons are completely different from Sasuke's Susanoo. And think about it, Sasuke shoots more than one arrow at Danzo, but there's only 1 sword of Totsuka, so it makes zero sense to say that Sasuke's Susanoo uses Itachi's Susanoo's sword of Totsuka as an arrow cuz there's only one sword yet he shoots arrow after arrow, and if you look closely at sasuke's susanoo, the bow is definitely not the Mirror shield.

exactly but not like the blade of totsuka that it does not leave the hands of susanoo....the blade can curse anything it pierces but the arrow pierced the arm of danzo yet it did not curse him.....that the big difference.....

yeah, quite a few people have made that connection. i suppose people haven't mentioned that it's cuz the Kyuubi's the strongest, but there's definitely a connection to Rikudo-Sennin

That's what I think as Naruto is weak against Genjutsu attacks.
Also I think the symbol around Naruto's neck while in Nine tails mode just shows how close he is to the SO6Ps since the Kyubi is the strongest chakra demon monster and closest to the Juubi which the SO6Ps was the Jinchuuriki of.
