Someday
In her presence, standing in awe,
Entranced by beauty that cannot be captured,
Words cannot describe, breath I cannot draw,
This warm feeling threatens to consume.
Watching her live makes me wish,
I could simply keep her forever,
When she walks away, something feels amiss,
A throbbing heart, an ache rises in my chest like fire.
Seeing her at night, when she strolls through my head,
Her face alone is enough to play with my heart,
She goes, but leaves my common sense hanging by a thread,
She’s only next door, but we’re too far apart.
Holding my hand up, with a smile,
Gazing into the cloud-filled sky,
Even if it may take a while,
I want to be able to hold her in my arms, someday.
In her presence, standing in awe,
Entranced by beauty that cannot be captured,
Words cannot describe, breath I cannot draw,
This warm feeling threatens to consume.
Watching her live makes me wish,
I could simply keep her forever,
When she walks away, something feels amiss,
A throbbing heart, an ache rises in my chest like fire.
Seeing her at night, when she strolls through my head,
Her face alone is enough to play with my heart,
She goes, but leaves my common sense hanging by a thread,
She’s only next door, but we’re too far apart.
Holding my hand up, with a smile,
Gazing into the cloud-filled sky,
Even if it may take a while,
I want to be able to hold her in my arms, someday.
