the first one is the best. you're right..you and c4ds don't get along well at the moment. it's probably the suckish tutorials that teach c4d spamming instead of just using them for certain effects.
personally i like the first. depth is good. effects fit the render for once. IMO good render choice for those effects. ok detail on the focal. only thing i'd change is the lighting placement. (instead of on his shoulder bring it close to his face)

2nd one is ew. mostly cuz the render just doesnt fit whatsoever. would look better without it as an abstract i bet.

soccer one i'm not fond of at all.. :\

could u recomend some c4d tuts that dont include "spamming" of c4d's? i just wnat to check them out. i m having trouble finding any good tuts =/

don't use too much C4Ds, it kills the sig, and only use in either lighten, screen, lighten dodge, lighter color, don't recommend color dodge much

this one is the best i've seen you do. the sasuke one is cool, but the little purple c4ds in front of his face and behind his neck should get erased.

it may not look like it, but this one required a lot of work. i had to make the background "explode", do some lighting, add quite a few gradient maps, etc.
