I'm no expert at Gfx , you need to add some effects to the avys. That being said.
The girl with the apple looks amazing, love the avy.

It's good for your second try. *_*

You followed our advice to show us more BG instead of covering it with render and that's awesome. Also you've done great job in finding good BG for your render so it looks pretty natural. It looks like the render actually belongs to the BG. And that's awesome thing for a starter.

Now, I'd like to point our certain things that you could have done different or better.

First, the placement of you render. So, placement of the render is very important for the final look of the tag. Depending on different type of render you will place it in different spot (center, near edges). But, you must find one spot on the render that is going to play the key spot (focal point) of the whole tag. And the rule of thirds can help a lot in doing that. Especially, when you have moving renders, like in this case. It would give better feeling of moving if you wouldn't place render exactly in the center.

Now, at this picture above you can see these lines and according to the rule of thirds placing your focal at certain spots where those line cross you can make perfect positioning.

Second, the render itself. Uh, render itself is rather problematic because you have this huge hand and lot of work on it while the head is pretty dark and small compare to. You even wonder is there a head when you first look at the render. So basically, that hand steals the focal point and you really need to work a lot on the tag itself to be able to make everything looks good. So, ye, our job is to find a good render as well and to make it fit well.

Third, colors & light. You have this red color on the render and you have blue color on the sky in the BG and that does not work good together. You also need to work on light, so try to find different fractals and experiment with different tools in GIMP or PS. Try working with different brushes and also with gradient maps to kind of make all fit well together.

It's very hard to make a tag look smooth and very elegant looking but you can try analyzing the amazing tags of people from here like work of Horus, Sikk, Skorm, Sabr (first names I can think of) who are able to make even unrealistic things look in a way realistic on one hand but but very elegant and defined, on the other. Also, do try experimenting with styles, where you can see also this smoothness in different kind of styles (Hei's work).

But, ye, awesome job and keep practicing, you'll be better with every new tag. xD

You're really helping, thank you. Plus I do frequently experiment with fractals and C4D's, but well, the outcome tends to turn out worse. But even so, Thanks a lot, I will keep experimenting and practising with PS and see where I can get.
