I've noticed that in today's society, people are too easily offended. Its reasonable to be offended over things that are racial, sexist, religious, etc. but now its common to see people get offended for the sake of being offended.

Its often people tend to try to take things that personally offended them and try to make it an "everybody offended" type of deal, if you know what I'm trying to say.

Heres a quote I'll use to get my point across;

Don't you see how easily people use the word opression these days? Every thing becomes "this a way to opress us minorities", every f*cking thing.

I know opression exists, I'm against it, but people are taking it WAYYY too far. Life won't be always the perfect way you wanted. And simply because you don't get everything you wanted, doesn't mean it's opression.

Once I heard that criminals are a victim of the opressive society. Are you f*cking kidding me? I would like to "opress" the sh*t out of the idiot who said that.

F*cking idiots. TV as on some days ago, and I heard about this crap. The woman was saying that she doesn't care about being fat, because she doesn't need "to accept the beauty patterns of an opressive society".

The women was fat at the point that it was harming her. And then she comes with this speech? F*ck her.

And f*ck this idiots that are putting these ideas into people's brain. F*cking moralists.

It gets worse: In my country, a """"""commedy""""" channel on youtube, make "funny" videos about such things. In one of these, the idea, along with the text of the description, were this exactly: "Self-defense is just an excuse to spread violence". I am serious.

So now if a criminal wants to kill you, but you have a gun, drop it, and let he kill you, because self-defense is just an excuse, and people who react to this are bad people.

And through their videos, they contaminate the rest of the population with these ideas.

So, I have a reason to say that I want to put a bullet in these motherf*ckers' heads.

The only way to have a free society is to accept the fact that, occasionally, someone is going to say something you don't like.

Someone is going to believe something you disagree with.

Someone is going to do something you would rather they didn't (but that isn't doing severe harm to you or someone else).

That is why, in America, the laws were set up to limit the power of the government. Even if there was a unanimous vote of the people to do something like re-instate slavery - the courts could overturn the law because it is not a power of the government. Even the power of democracy is supposed to be limited by the constitution (although, in theory - they could propose an amendment to the constitution - but if that many people in the country believe the government should have that kind of power - you're pretty much screwed, anyway, and should get out while you still can).

Now, people in America have forgotten this, and have pretty much sought to have the government handle every problem imaginable - so we're about to collapse right about the time we start shooting each other over the government's plan to pipeline illegal 'refugees' all across our nation. After a 'glitch' makes it so that no new U.S. passports will be issued (when I saw this news headline, I knew we are pretty much counting down the weeks, now - it's too late to get out, now).

My initial estimate of April of next year will probably end up falling long of when the U.S. implodes. It would seem one of my book ideas may very well turn out to be somewhat prophetic - sans the unique piece of jewelry I considered ordering for an individual.

But I digress.

The point is that a free country must be free to engage in controversial talk and discourse.

By shutting down 'offensive' views - you only create an 'underground argument' that never gets aired. Rather than talking things out as people, we simply let the media tell us what one side or the other believes. It's all he-said-she-said and it causes us to pick sides to stand-and-deliver from.
