And by the way yes, they did live in the same era- even if the 800 year old didn't get a vision of some amazing prophecy, he should've known about the SAGE OF SIX PATHS SON reincarnating himself a bunch of times up to modern day and then having the current reincarnation right in front of him.

Honestly this Asura/Indra twist just causes more trouble than it's worth, like Hashi and Madara- it was better off as a precautionary tale from eras ago, symbolising how the cycle of conflict is never-ending.​

It never was stated that the Elder Toad had any knowledge of the Sage of 6 Paths. His dreams were the only way he knew what was going on. Other than that, he was clueless. (For all we know)
